Chairman’s Pen

My dear fellow exporters,

The depreciation of the Rupee is a matter of concern given the freefall that is happeningat present. The Government must take some confidence boosting steps to ensure thatexcessive depreciation does not distort the overall balance of the economy. Whiletheoretically export may get a boost and imports may comedown, the whole processmay be a costly affair in view of the stagflationery situation in the country.

Yours sincerely,

(AMAN CHADHA)
