Eta Sigma Gamma, the National Health Science Honorary Society, requires a 3.0 GPA in health and an 2.5 overall GPA. The organization focuses on research, service, and education, and volunteer hours are required.

BACHELOR’S DEGREES IN HEALTHThe mission of the Department of Population Health is to foster student-centered learning for early and advanced health professionals; to conduct applied, evidence-based research in population health; and to improve health and well-being through community engagement at the local and global levels. Our nationally-recognized programs offer students small class sizes and personal attention from outstanding faculty and staff.

The bilingual health care studies degree prepares you to be a culturally competent bilingual patient navigator for employment in various health care settings. The health care administration degree emphasizes the skills required to manage contemporary health care organizations through courses in health, business, economics, management, and psychology. The health sciences degree can be tailored to meet your individual goals for postbaccalaureate programs of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, or other health sciences programs. The public health degree educates you on how to promote health and prevent diseases. The wellness management degree prepares you to manage and facilitate health and wellness initiatives in a variety of settings.

REQUIREMENTSPlease see the online course catalog for the specific requirements for each degree.

Minor: The bilingual health care studies degree requires a minor in a foreign language. The health care administration, health sciences, public health, and wellness management degrees require approved electives rather than a minor.
