“In the Roman Catholic tradition, the people of Saint Patrick Parish are called to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by our words and actions through the
celebration of the Sacraments, acts of justice and charity and life-long faith formation; the fruits of which are a welcoming faith-filled community bringing ourselves
and others, through God’s grace, to salvation.”
Mission Priest
We welcome Fr. Thomas Mulanjanany, V.C., a Vincentian Missionary priest from India, to our parish this weekend. The
Vicentian Missionaries, all natives of India, need our help to carry out their many missionary, educational, and charitable
activities in their missions. They need our financial support for the training of young men studying for priesthood. There
will be a special collection to help the Vincentian Missionaries this weekend.

Youth Group and Confirmation YOUTH INFO Youth Group and Confirmation is meeting Sunday, Sep-tember 11th from 4:30 to 6:30 in the Family Life Center at St. Pat’s. We will meet again on September 18th. Looking for musically talented teens! But really, we’re still looking!!!! Do you play a musical instrument? We need some help with music for different events this year and Augusta is hopeless! Guitars, keyboards, drums, voices, band instru-ments, etc! We could use almost everything but the Ka-zoo!! Email [email protected] for more info. Mission trip Summer of 2017 Watch our social media sights for the unveiling of where we are going on Mission this summer! The sooner you sign-up, the more of a chance you have to fundraise to come with us. Last summer’s trip to Melbourne Florida was in-credible. The relief and gratitude we witnessed in other people’s lives definitely brought about conversion in our own hearts. What better way to get away for a week but also to be the hands and feet of Christ. Follow us on Twitter @terrehautecym or Instagram @terrehauteym. Camping Trip! You must express interest by Wednesday, September 14th to go!!! Are you interested in camping out under the stars? We are planning an overnight trip to Fowler park on September 17th. Pack a tent, a sleeping bag, and a flash-light! We will have s’mores, gruesome tales, and star-tipping! There needs to be a minimum of ten teens for this trip to happen! Pick up a permission slip at Youth Group.
Religious Education

RCIA meets this Wednesday, Sep-tember 14th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Gregorian room at St. Joseph University Parish, on the corner of 5th and Ohio Streets. The topic this week is The Holy Spirit. Babysitting is available and all are welcome to attend.
The Mercy of God
This weekend marks the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the US on September 11,2001.
It's hard to think about that date without mental images of the destruction, grief, and loss that
swept over America and the world following those tragic events. The loss of thousands of lives
was compounded by the loss of security as a country. The sorrow of loss, personal or security,
will always accompany the memory of the events of that day.
No matter what kind of sorrow we experience, there is only one real comfort and that is the mer-
cy of God. Only in the mercy of God can we find comfort for our pain and peace for our troubled
hearts.
In all our losses, we can turn to the true Shepherd, Jesus Christ, who alone can heal our broken-
ness and grief. Like a friend who'll never leave our side and can comfort like no other.
together through prayer and service,
Deacon Mike
