As an SSE Protect customer, you’ll know exactly what you are paying for from the beginning. We remove the risk of mid-contract price increases, by fi xing your energy costs and existing non-commodity charges for the duration of your contract.

Suppliers have to forecast future price increases to non-

commodity elements which are not yet set by third parties

and these have to be passed on to customers. This includes the

cost of transporting electricity through the diff erent networks.

With SSE Protect, we’ll guarantee a fi xed level of non-commodity

charges in the contract for up to 48 months. This includes

the impact on costs from the Energy Intensive Industries (EII)

exemption scheme. Committing to a fi xed rate for the duration

of your contract provides reduced risk, price stability and

peace of mind.
