We invite you to join us for a comprehensive overview of major advances in Therapeutic Gastrointestinal Endoscopy to be held from March 6-8, 2020 at the Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center, The Canyons Village, Park City Mountain Resort, Park City, Utah. Take advantage of this cutting edge educational program in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONThis is a multifaceted gastrointestinal endoscopy course that will educate attendees on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range and variety of gastrointestinal luminal, biliary and pancreatic disorders, including both benign and malignant conditions. This course is designed for practicing gastroenterologists with a focus on endoscopy. GI fellows, GI nurse practitioners and physician assistants as well as general and pancreaticobiliary surgeons are also frequent attendees. Using didactic lectures, hands-on learning stations, ex vivo animal models, video sessions, and through interactive live endoscopic procedures, the course will educate attendees on many different types of GI illnesses and procedures. There will also be a special additional program directed specifically for GI nurses and technicians. Sessions will center on endoscopic diagnosis, management and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. This course is in its 24th year and is nationally renowned for its content and world-class faculty. This course combines faculty from the University Of Utah School Of Medicine and Harvard Medical School as well as other nationally recognized GI experts from around the United States who are invited to speak. There is a great emphasis placed on faculty-attendee interaction, with many opportunities for one-on-one and small group discussion.

INTENDED AUDIENCEPracticing Gastroenterologists, GI surgeons, Therapeutic Endoscopists, GI Fellows, GI Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, GI Nurses and GI Technicians.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

1. To review, discuss, and assess the latest technological advances in endoscopic imaging, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

2. To discuss the role of GI endoscopy in diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel and colon.

3. To review risks and benefits of interventional and innovative endoscopy in the pancreaticobiliary tree.

4. To demonstrate and allow attendees to learn new endoscopic techniques they can apply in their own GI practice.

5. To review and understand the latest endoscopic developments in managing GI emergencies.

AMA Credit: The University of Utah School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC Part II: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 20.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC point’s equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
