of India and most companies have head offices here.
Maharashtra is India’s most industrialised state and contributes 13% of the country’s industrial
output. Furthermore, nearly 46% of Maharashtra’s GSDP is generated by these industrial practices.
Major automotive companies like Piaggio, General Motors, Fiat India, Mercedes-Benz, Premier
Automobiles, Jaguar & Land Rover, Volkswagen India, Bajaj Auto, Force Motors, Mahindra Navistar
are based in Pune, only 150 km from Mumbai. The Mumbai/Pune car manufacturing cluster

Fastener Fair Stuttgart, the world’s leading event
for the fastener and fixing industry.
The Venue
The Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) is one of the
largest exhibition centres in India and hosts a variety
of prestigious international trade exhibitions. It is
ideally situated along the Western Express Highway
in Goregaon, approximately 8km from Mumbai’s
national and international airports and 30 minutes
from the city centre. There are numerous international
hotels in the area.
