#6/18/20132011-10-19 2 E2E QoS Technical Solution Presentation Use Cases 2By default Voice is always prioritized in 2G QoS Negotiation is applicable for Data Flow (IP)QoS in 2G Radio Network

Before Implementing Data Prioritization in 2G network, we need to get adequate 2G data channels bot h Fixed PDCH and OD-PDCH

#6/18/20132011-10-19 4 The QoS classes Background, Interactive, and Streaming are supported.

The following QoS attributes are supported in GSM RAN (BSS):Maximum bit rate (MBR).Transfer delay (TD).Guaranteed bit rate (GBR).Traffic Handling Priority (THP).QoS Management in GSM RANTo fulfill the negotiated QoS commitment the capacity on GSM air interface is controlled by: Time slot reservation Time slot scheduling

This means that the packet data sessions is scheduled according to their relative QoS weight and that sessions with different weights must be able to interact.

QoS attributesMaximum bit rate (MBR)Transfer delay (TD)Guaranteed bit rate (GBR)Traffic Handling Priority (THP)

BSCSGSN-MMERBSGbUmUEGSM RAN (BSS)PAYU users set as high priority, e.g THP 1 and will be scheduled more oftenPCRF will check the user profile, and define the priority for PAYU user on rest of package.

#6/18/20132011-10-19 6 The QoS classes Background, Interactive, and Streaming are supported.

The following QoS attributes are supported in GSM RAN (BSS):Maximum bit rate (MBR).Transfer delay (TD).Guaranteed bit rate (GBR).Traffic Handling Priority (THP).Use case BBM & Chatting QoS classesBackgroundInteractiveStreaming

#6/18/20132011-10-19 7 The QoS classes Background, Interactive, and Streaming are supported.

The following QoS attributes are supported in GSM RAN (BSS):Maximum bit rate (MBR).Transfer delay (TD).Guaranteed bit rate (GBR).Traffic Handling Priority (THP).Use case Download (detected applications*) QoS classesBackgroundInteractiveStreaming

QoS attributesMaximum bit rate (MBR)Transfer delay (TD)Guaranteed bit rate (GBR)Traffic Handling Priority (THP)

BSCSGSN-MMERBSGbUmUEGSM RAN (BSS)Download set as Lowest priority, e.g THP 3 and will be less scheduled*PCRF is required

#6/18/20132011-10-19 8 The QoS classes Background, Interactive, and Streaming are supported.

The following QoS attributes are supported in GSM RAN (BSS):Maximum bit rate (MBR).Transfer delay (TD).Guaranteed bit rate (GBR).Traffic Handling Priority (THP).REQUIRED INVESTMENT RAN Features have been included in Mega Tender Results need to review with Ericsson and Huwaei to ensure all related features are included PCRF Availability Service Cost for implementing end to end QoS Note: AP- Trial for some specific users in Ghra XL & Prima Cells
