Without the 33 Engineer Regiment bomb disposal unit, theArmy would have trouble knowing where the bombs arehidden and may not have the expertise to find them. Thiscould lead to more of our troops stepping on the IEDs and

the bombs exploding, killing people in the near-by radius.

225 Signal Squadron (Electronic Counter Measures (Force Protection))

The role of the Squadron is to provide very high readiness ECM(FP) training, operational support and specialist expertise to UK, Expeditionary and Other

Governmental Department Operations in order to support the nominatedCommanders. Force protection is the construction of protective structures and

defensive obstacles. They were created to aid the British Army in protectingthemselves and civilians.

Defensive structures like defensive barracks and blast walls are built by theforce protection soldiers to prevent terrorists or opposition threats. Defensivebarracks will are better quality military barracks that are much stronger and willtake more than just a bullet to penetrate it, although it is not 100% resistant. Also, blast walls are walls that consist of steel supporting structures and steelreinforced bolt-on concrete panels to provide protection from blasts and addssafety from ordinary sand walls.

The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) provide logistic support

to the British Army. It is the largest Corps in the Army, comprising around 17% of its strength. From tanks andammunition to letters and food, they get the exact amountof kit to the right people in the right place at the right time

    - enabling the Army to do its job, and boosting moralealong the way.

The RLC works all over the world, in all conditions:

On land, sea and in the air

Night and day In rain, shine and snow

In mountains, desert, built up areas and jungle terrain

both troops and equipment and deliver them into thetheatre of operations.

Also logistically sustain the fighting formations and finallyredeploy the force back to the UK base or on to other

operations. The Brigade is also responsible for the setting up of field

    hospitals and evacuation of casualties.

Operations they are sent on involve a lot of preparations,

The 102 Logistic Brigade are important because theyprovide humanitarian aids, help build temporary hospitalsfor civilians and troops. They also help troops get fromone battlefield to another or wherever they are needed.

Without them, they may not have enough facilities to helpinjured and sick civilians/troops. Also, the British troopswont have the transport to get to the place they are

    needed.
