NETWORK!

NETWORK!

NETWORK!

Networking is a great way to meet people not

to mention the opportunity to be one on one

with people. Being able to be one on one with

someone allows you to to show your true

personality and allow people to gauge your

true intentions. Through this method, you will

have the opportunity to develop key

relationships with individuals that may be able

to properly enhance your brand. But one of

the key things to remember here is to always

have an elevator speech ready. You never

know who you will meet, so be sure that you

are ready to sell yourself at any moment. Have

a quick one to three liner that describes your

book and your message. Remember not to

sound like a used car salesman.

UtilizeYour Resources

You may not always have a team behind you to promote

you. In cases like this you have to take initiative. Look for

different ways to promote yourself. In this digital age of

social media, it is easy to find quick inexpensive (or even

free) ways to promote yourself. Social media is a

phenomenal way to promote yourself in a free way. Not

only that, it allows you the opportunity to have direct

access to your market and constituents. Not only that,

your target market now has direct access to you. You’ll be

able to give your fans first hand news and knowledge as it

becomes available.

CONFIDENCEIS KEY!

And the last and arguably the most important is

to be confident in yourself and in your work. Truly

know your work and what you want your

message to be. If you’re not confident, how can

you expect others to be believe in your work? The

truth is, you don’t necessarily need to be an

expert in what you’re saying. Most people

respond off of confidence. And if you sound

confident enough, people will eventually believe

what you’re selling. The key thing is to know your

strengths and weaknesses. Play up your

strengths and go for the jugular!
