Spacing requirements (Skiff)

Main survey lines:

The Skiff conducted survey lines with a spacing of 25m as per IHO S-44 Ed. 4 (1998) specifications for Order 1:

“3x average depth or 25 m, whichever is greater.”

Due to the lack of previous survey data, 2002 survey was used as a reference to determined average depth at 9 m in the navigational channel.

25 m line spacing was selected for Single beam.

Main survey lines:

Due to the river characteristics, survey lines were not parallel. The farthest point between consecutive lines was kept at 25 m.



HYPACK for Skiff

The Line Editor of Hypack Max was used to draw the survey and cross-check lines.



Cross-check lines:

Along the river and as perpendicular as possible to the main survey lines. Three nearly equidistant cross check lines
