Thanksgiving Food Collec on St. Vincent de Paul Society will again be providing Thanksgiving Baskets to the less fortunate of Villa Park. At all weekend masses November 16 & 17, we will be celebra ng Harvest Sunday. We invite you to bring your food dona ons to church as a community. There will be boxes in the Gathering Space for your dona ons. Dona ons of turkeys would be much appreciated and should be dropped off at the gym on the morning of Saturday, November 23rd.

Our goal is to be able to give each family a box of food and a turkey for their Thanksgiving meal.

Dona ons that are needed:

Dressing Canned Fruit & Vegetables Canned sweet potatoes Stuffing Mix Instant Potatoes Gravy Mix Pumpkin Pie Filling Pie Crust Mix (or ready made) Soup

Any dona ons that cannot be used for the baskets will go to the Food Pantry.

Jane Knuth has been a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for twenty-four years. Thri Store Saints, Jane’s first book, won the Catholic Press Award for Best Representa on of the Catholic Faith in 2010. A sequel, Thri Store Graces, was released in 2012. Her third book, Love Will Steer Me True, co-wri en with her daughter, Ellen, was published in 2014. The Prayer List: and Other True Stories of How Families Pray, was released May, 2018. Jane and her husband Dean live in Portage, Michigan.

This will allow you to make new friends while having fun over those dbits of wisdom you’ve collected over the years. Each team is encouraged to decorate their table any-way they want. We will have prizes for the team with the best decorated table/players. Get crea ve and have fun with a theme. You are encouraged to bring anything for your team to eat and enjoy. We will provide coffee and pop and have a table with baked goods.
