30TH ANNUAL OAKTON CLASSIC
Dear Students, Parents, and Marching Band Fans,
On behalf of our faculty and staff at Oakton High School, I am delighted to welcome you to the 30thth
Annual Oakton Classic. We are honored to host this incredible marching band competition on Saturday,
September 26, 2015. The Oakton Classic brings student musicians on a field to display their skills and abilities
outside of the classroom.
An event of this caliber could not happen without the band directors, parents, and many volunteers who have
helped make the Classic possible. We extend our sincere thanks to all those involved for continuing to support
the Oakton Classic through your time and talents.
Best wishes to all participants. Oakton High School has earned the Virginia Honor Band distinction 20 times, so
we understand that dedication, talent, and hard work is required to maintain the level of excellence that will
be displayed on the field at the Classic Invitation. I know that the Oakton Classic will provide everyone with a
day of entertainment and a great respect for the efforts you have put into preparing for this competition.
