Artefact is a man-made object made or modified and can represent cultures and tell a story in a form of design that is used by humans.

What is it used for?

• Artefact may be used in plays as part of a set.

• Maybe used as props and costumes.

• it is also be used to make a logo

• It may be displayed in a gallery.

• Used in a play for costume, set or background.

• He was born in Netherlands.

• Studied fashion design and art in Amsterdam.

• Michael Raedecker draws reference from modern concepts of image construction, such as the motion and lighting effects of film, the stark colours of interior design and the special effects of digital imaging.

• Themes of solitude, tranquillity and emotional isolation run throughout Michael Raedecker’s work. His paintings of remote dream homes are often suggestive of unsettling narratives, presenting an eerie dislocation of idealised luxury and a sense of discomfort, which reflect on man’s tenuous relationship with nature and with himself.

How did technology have an impact on Artefact?

• Before all art work were man made e.g. cave paint are old artefacts, there were created during 40,000-10,000 BC

• They were often engraved on open air or on the floor.

• It also often told a story

• Now a days we have digital photography that can help us tell us a story so we don’t need to paint it.

• We also have machines that helps us do art work edit our artwork and it will take a human days to complete any artwork but a machine can do it in hours but then again if the machine brakes down your artwork will be lost.

• Doing art work in a machines can be expensive but you can do art work for nothing if you make it yourself by using used materials or engraving it somewhere.
