We arrived 7th November, wind, rain and later snow. Jude and I thought what are we doing here at Peuma Hue?!!
The next morning we knew why this is called the “Place of Dreams”. The weather had changed and we were catered for by the wonderful staff here at Peuma Hue. Everything has been wonderful! Food, horse riding, fishing. This is not a place of dreams, it must be heaven.

An experience I had with my ten year old son yesterday sums our collective feelings of this spiritually moving place. As he and I walked across the lawn from the lake in the late afternoon, we looked to the spire rocks above and he said to me, “this feels like Heaven….. I hope Heaven is this nice….”. We feel blessed to have experienced such a pristine world of the cleanest air, purest water and fantastic unspoiled vistas. You all are wonderful stewards to some of the last places on earth that have not suffered from from the ever dangerous behaviors of man. Thank you for sharing, thank you for embracing our children´s infinite wonder at a place so beautiful, and thank you for your generous and truly genuine warm welcome. It is our dream to return to share another brisk night, moonlight glowing in the stream, the lake and illuminating the fields of snow high above. Simple magic on earth.

I don’t want to go! Already planned when I’m coming back and I can’t wait. I was supposedly working while here, running a Yoga retreat, but I feel like I’ve been on vacation with old friends. Every wish was granted, half of the time before it was even spoken. In this place of incredible natural beauty you have managed to create something awe-inspiring. For perfect strangers from around the world to make lasting connections over canapés and Scrabble is very rare. At first I thought it was the side-effect of the (delicious) wine, but it soon became clear that the warmth exuded by the hosts – the way you treat guests like family members – melts cynicism within hours of arrival. All I can say is “Thank you!” To everyone here and to the circumstances that meant I stayed more than twice as long as planned which gave me the opportunity to really relax and heal in more ways than are!

Thank you very much for an absolutely magical time here at your piece of paradise! Thank you for opening up your home to us, and sharing this stunning place with us. This has been one of our most memorable “Mom-Daughter” vacations! Dear Evelyn,
Thank you for Peuma Hue, a culmination of your dreams, and for sharing it with us. It is truly a special place of peace which permeates everything and everyone there, Your staff are all personable and helpful with special mention of Valeria who has a wonderful way about her. All our meals were delicious – asado was particularly memorable – and served on lovely linen and tableware.
The highlight of our stay to me was our hike to the waterfall with you to explain various interesting landscape features like a hugging tree, the sofa and lotus stone. I could feel nature’s pulse there.
It’s difficult to leave, but I will keep Peuma Hue clear in my memory. Thank you for sharing something so personal, meaningful & beautiful.

Dear Evelyn (and Mara, Alpha, Gandhi, Zorro and the little black dog whose name we never got but think it might have been Pichin?!), Marcello, Carolina, Chris (and Pepe, Chima, Viento and the other beautiful horses), plus all the other staff including Val, Hernan, Melissa and Dolores (whose cooking was outstanding!) and all the ones who made our breakfasts, lunches (packed and in the house!) and dinners so well, plus everyone else who made our holiday such an utter joy and delight (and made our cabin so clean and tidy every day after all the dust!),
We absolutely fell in love with Argentina but more specifically, especially Peuma-Hue. It is very, very rare that we would ever want to go back to the same area twice as there is so much to see and do around the world, but you have created such a magical place that we are already looking to see how quickly we can get back. I cannot ever remember Maggie having tears in her eyes as we left any place before and the fact that Evelyn and Val and the dogs came out to say goodbye was such a lovely touch – we were both emotional on the way to the airport.
We seriously miss you all and the most idyllic surroundings – the trekking, horse riding, canoeing and rafting could not have been better and they are all so well prepared so we always felt extremely well looked after and protected but really able to partake of the natural surroundings and be peaceful in the countryside. The fact that you personally arranged for a lunar eclipse was beyond the call of duty!! I personally will never, ever forget the sight of so
many stars which was completely overwhelming to me and I have struggled to find the right words when trying to explain to my friends and family back home. Stunning!
We have been telling everyone about our experiences at Peuma Hue and the fact that we have got to get back there so I am sure that the word about your clear philosophy, your beautiful location, your open, helpful, welcoming manner and your lovely personalities are going to spread far and wide. Seriously we do not see how things could have been improved at all. We loved every minute.
Peuma Hue is one beautiful estancia but all of you together (including dogs, horses and cats!) make it very, very special and we thank you all. We can’t wait to return.

The best places to stay are the ones you do not want to leave. Our stay at Peuma Hue has been far too short. Everything has been more magical than we could have hoped. An idyllic & magical two days in this wonderful place. Place of dreams, slice of heaven, the most accommodating staff we have ever experienced. Magical grounds… We wish you must success in the promotion of this lodge. Not everyone deserves to stay here, only those who can be open to such enormous beauty… which we many. We hope to return one day soon but in many ways we will never leave… Peuma Hue is definitely one of the wonders of the world.
