The fair committee is excited to have you and your family and friends “experience the tradition” of the 32nd Annual Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair. There will be MORE artists, food vendors, and entertainment than ever before. Addition-ally, there will be a handicap-accessible shuttle bus available for visitors who are unable to board a regular bus and their families with stops at the high school and at both sides of Talleyrand Park. Bring your family and plan to spend the day in beautiful, serene Talleyrand Park among the artists, entertainers, food vendors, and your neighbors. FAIR INFORMATION

SCHEDULE of EVENTS

PARK RULES AND REGULATIONSSmoking is not permitted in Talleyrand Park.Animals are not permitted in Talleyrand Park.

INFORMATION - Visitors can pick up artist lists, maps, and area information and purchase “official” fair t-shirts and memorabilia at either of two information booth locations. The main information booth is located near the Water Street entrance of the fair grounds. Information is also available at the Historic Bellefonte booth located near the Train Station off the High Street entrance to Talleyrand Park. In addition, Fair Committee Members can be found throughout the fair grounds and are easily identifiable by their royal blue lanyards and staff polo shirts. They are available to answer your questions and hear your comments and suggestions. More detailed Fair information is available at www.bellefontefair.org. SILENT AUCTION - Fair artists and craftpersons generously donated items for a silent auction with proceeds to benefit the groups that organize and promote the Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Fair. Items will be on display at the auction tent next to the Water Street Information Tent on Friday and Saturday of the Fair. ALL fair goers are welcome and encouraged to bid on items of their choosing. When placing a bid, the bid amount must be equal to or more than the required minimum bid or raise identified for each item. Bidding will conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday with the last qualifying bidder winning the item. To be the “instant winner” of an item, individuals can pay the identified “BUY it NOW” price and take the item with them.

After an extraordinary trip to Africa visiting villages where women were making beaded aprons and beaded hoops, Maureen decided to explore the art of jewelry making from different parts of the world. Maureen uses semi-precious stones, wood, bone, shell, pearls, metals and glass to create a com-bination of unique and exotic styles. YOUTH ARTISTSYouth artists are artists between the ages of 8 – 17 who design and make their own arts/crafts. Youth artists will have booths set up on the Water Street side of the Park from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th to display and sell their wares.

Tom and Karen want to “put a little twist in your life” with their lightweight aluminum hairtwists. These artists love to make girls of all ages more beautiful and happy with their unique hair designs. These distinctive accessories are unbreakable and come in many sizes and colors. Check out the Rainbow Hair Twists booth during the 2015 Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair.

The Acri’s have designed an exclusive pottery dip chiller that holds ice in a bottom receptical to keep your dip (in a separate pottery piece that sits on top) chilled and perfect for serving. Each piece is poured, stenciled, glazed and fired and comes complete with a wired whisk. Gene and Ann have also created their own fruit and vegetable dip recipes available to taste and purchase. CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIESChildren and youth will certainly enjoy the numerous FREE activities planned during the 2015 Arts & Crafts Fair. Dominion Science Center (Friday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m./Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) A hands-on science museum full of fun and educational experiments and demonstrations. Arts & Crafts Activities (Friday/Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) Free children’s arts and craft projects to engage children in creating their own art! Planned projects include: a “Super Hero Center” for making cuffs, headbands & masks, scratch art, butterfly plates, farm animal paper bag puppets, dot painting, nameplate sand art, jewelry, magic noodles, and wooden owls.

Discovery Space (Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) An interactive children’s science museum designed to stimulate curiosity and spark imagination as children learn about the world around them.

Youth Kayaking Experience (Friday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m./Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) Youth, ages 10 – 14, can participate in a kayaking experience in Spring Creek, offered by the Mach One Kayak Team.

Face Painting Madison Mock will be offering fee-based face painting in the Mock Creations booth.

Bellefonte EMS Ambulance & Fire Fighter Displays Area emergency responders will “show off” their equipment, provide demonstrations, and answer questions.

Children’s Story Time Author, Teresa Stouffer, will be reading aloud to children in the children’s activity area.

CALLANDISH, a Celtic band based in central Pennsylvania, plays Irish and Scottish music in the traditional style. Their repertoire includes lively jigs and reels, haunting airs, and rollicking songs from Ireland, Scotland, and elsewhere in the British Isles.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Jay Vonada Quartet (Jazz)THE JAY VONADA QUARTET has played standard and original compositions at venues throughout Pennsylvania. Their debut CD “Expressions” was released in June. Joining trombonist Jay Vonada is guitarist Mac Himes, bassist Bob Hart & drummer Kevin Lowe.

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Erin Condo & the Hoofties (Modern Folk/Rock)ERIN CONDO & THE HOOFTIES move easily from country two-step to Motown groove, to upbeat rock-n-roll. The band revolves around Erin Condo’s songwriting with Bill Wilgus and the rest of the band crafting and completing the sound.

5:00 – 6:00 p.m. JP Rocks (Classic Rock)JP ROCKS has been jamming since 1982 in central PA, performing rock style music by popular artists as well as original songs by local artist John Phelps.

7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pure Cane Sugar Band (Americana)PURE CANE SUGAR’s sultry voices, soulful harmonies, and powerful lyrics, evoke exquisite vocals. When songstresses, Kate Twoey, Molly Countermine Natalie Race, combine, the result is “an assemblage of masterful melodies & haunting harmonies that inspire sweet dreams”.

Gazebo Stage10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Steve Van Hook (Americana)

Acoustic singer-songwriter, Steve Van Hook, performs songs that reflect upon daily life, spins forgotten tales from the past, and tells stories from below the fold.

12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Blind Horse Wagon (Americana)Bryan Homan, Doug Irwin & Sam Spurrier have been playing music together for around 4 years. You can expect to hear some bittersweet originals as well as some handpicked, free range, grass fed covers.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Strait & Miller (Bluegrass)Long-time friends Chris Strait and Dylan Miller began song-writing and playing collaboratively shortly after their high school graduation. The duo, both heavily influenced by a vast variety of music from the past and present, create a truly genuine sound.

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Laura Lizcano (Jazz)Laura Lizcano, a native to Bogotá, Columbia, currently studies jazz voice performance at Temple University. Laura and pianist Jeff Groh will provide us with jazz standards, selections from the Great American Songbook, Latin American compositions and original work.

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Elmira-Hope EcklundElmira-Hope Ecklund is a 15 year old farm girl who spends most of her time in her attic bedroom strumming guitars, pickin’ banjos, singing songs, writing lyrics and lying about how she spends her time in her room.

6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The Briggadiers (Bluegrass)State College’s bluegrass, old time, and miscellaneous string band duo, featuring mandolinist Kevin Briggs, and guitarist Paul Brigman.

YOUR DAD’S FRIENDS is Central PA’s Good Times & Great Rock ‘n Roll Band! The band consists of Don Bedell of State College and Rick Herbster of Altoona on guitar & vocals, Roger Corey of Altoona on keyboard & vocals and Dave DeCapria of Mill Hall on drums & vocals.

12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Heritage Brass (Swing, Ragtime, Show Tunes)The Heritage Brass Quintet repertoire ranges from classical chamber music to swing, ragtime and Broadway show tunes.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m. The Trixx Band (‘60s - ‘90s)TRIXX BAND features the talents and vocal blending of the Sharrow Brothers - Dick, Dan, & Charlie. The brothers cover everything from Journey to the Hollies, Stevie Nicks, and more.

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Bellefonte Community Band (Variety)The BELLEFONTE COMMUNITY BAND is a group of about 50 dedicated volunteer musicians of all ages from Bellefonte and the surrounding areas. Band members share their love of music by performing a variety of tunes: marches, contemporary and classic compositions, novelty tunes, and more.

4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Keystone Society of Swing (Big Band Swing)The KEYSTONE SOCIETY OF SWING is a community-based band composed of musicians from the central Pennsylvania area. The band plays music of the swing era (1930-50's).

Gazebo Stage10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Sons of Resonance (Folk/Rock)

This energetic folk/rock acoustic duo features Curtis Ishler on percussion and vocals & Matt Greer on guitar, keyboard, harmonica, and vocals. Together they produce a sound much bigger than you’d expect from a two-man band.

On stage they bring a captivating mix of traditional and unique bluegrass music through their original songs and friendly connection with the audience.

The 9th annual Herbie’s Home “Town Loop” 4-mile run/walk and 10-mile run is an annual memorial event to honor Jeremy Herbstritt, a Bellefonte native killed in the 2007 Virginia Tech shootings. Funds raised will be used to help the community build a track facility. This year’s event will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the intersection of High and Spring Streets.

PARKING & DIRECTIONSBellefonte, located in Centre County, Pennsylvania, is easily accessible via Interstates 80 and 99. State College and the main campus of the Pennsylvania State University are only a short ten miles away.

Free parking is available at Bellefonte Area High School, 830 East Bishop Street, Bellefonte, PA. Free shuttle buses will transport visitors to the business district to tour and shop in downtown Bellefonte (2 stops on S. Allegheny & West High Streets) and to Talleyrand Park (one stop at N. Potter/W. High Streets and one stop at S. Water Street).

Shuttle transportation will run from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, August 14th and from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th.
