Bandsaw Re-saw Jig

This plan came about after watching a video from the Woodworkers Guild of America. Check out their site www.WWGOA.com. The host George Vondriska explains the procedures to build this simple jig for re-sawing on the bandsaw. I thought a few pictures might add further clarification.

If you have ever tried to re-saw a board on your bandsaw you’ll appreciate how difficult to maintain a straight line will cutting your board. With the single point fence you can control your workpiece and follow your cut line very easily.

Exploded View

The curves and angles on the jig components are

not required they just dress up the appearance of

the jig and give it a lighter look. The jig parts are

glued and brad nailed or stapled together. It is

important to remember the fence and support are

90 degrees to the base.
