Haydockhere wecome! The next Vertikal Days event is just a week or twoaway and promises to be the largest so far in terms of the number of exhibitors and the exhibitspace used. This year’s show - the seventh - looks set to benefit from being held in a Bauma year, with a number of new products launched at theworld’s biggest exhibition also being shown at Haydock Park. More importantly however there are a number of products making their European or even worldwide debuts at Vertikal Days, products that you simply couldn’t see at Bauma.

Catering Vertikal Days is unique in that visitors do get a ‘free lunch’. BarryMiles is back with a larger teamthan ever before and will be roastinga dozen free-range, large white porkers from Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, barbecuing around athousand sausages from the samesupplier and several thousand beefburgers. Once again there will be avegetarian option or two, tasty salads and a cheese bar.
Evening event Wednesday evening sees the annualVertikal networking event, whichsadly we have to limit to 700 forspace and safety reasons. This yearthe menu is being upgraded with alittle more selection and variety,while the musical interlude will beprovided by a band new to the show- The Rockits - which plays everyFriday at Liverpool’s famous CavernClub. As usual, tickets will be supplied to exhibitors first with anyadditional tickets offered on a firstcome first served basis to thosewho want them. The third annual competition forloader crane operators now carriesa cash prize of £250 plus a trophy,free training and the right to use the‘Operator of the Year’ logo. Held inthe ALLMI village it tests skill,safety and speed. ALLMI will alsohold its general meetings at theshow discussing changes to terms and conditions for lifting operations using a lorry loadercrane.
