360 Degree Evaluation Process:Case Analysis and Summary360 Degree Evaluation This case talks about the evolution of the 360 degree evaluation technique. The name of the process is a function of the process itself, as it revolves around the soliciting of feed back from seniors, peers, subordinates and clients. The purpose o f such a feedback was to obtain a holistic view and understanding of the performance of person for whom feedback was being obtained, so that their true successes could be applauded and problems highlighted. They could then focus on their problem areas to improve their work performance in the times to come, and ga in feedbackon how successful their attempt was in the end. Thus, the process co ntinues and leads to perpetual improvement. Feedback Process Stage 1: Evaluation Request Form: A list comprisin g of peop le who regularly interacted with the employee and were in a position to provide valuable feedback with regards to the employee in question were prepared. Stage 2: ERF Submitted to Office of Development: T he lis t is then sent to the relevant department for ensuring if the individuals selected for t he purpose of evaluation are relevant. Stage 3: Distribution of Forms: The evaluation forms are then distributed to the people on the approved ERF list. They are given open ended questions and evaluation is done on the basis of: yMarket/Professi ona l Skills yManagement and Leadership yCommercial Orientation yTeamwork/One firm Contribution Stage 4: Collection of Evaluations: After the specified period o f time the forms are collected from the people on the ERF. Stage 5: Processed to Year end Dat a Packet: Finally the data is processed and converted into meaningful results that provide a holistic understanding a nd view of the employees performance.
