Project Description:

Jarman McKenna was founded on 1 July 2003 and started its life as a

specialist boutique insurance litigation firm. More recently the firm has

developed a general commercial law practice and has grown

significantly in size and expertise since it was founded.

there building previously occupied by a bank.

Lightspeed Communications and Electrical were engaged to design and

implement the removal of the redundant power and data as well as the

installation of the new structured data cabling and electrical works.

The works included the installation and commissioning of:

• Backbone fibre optic cabling for server room connectivity and

disaster recovery capabilities.

• Certified installation of structured cabling data outlets to all

proposed desk and office positions as well as provision for

future expansion.

• Site wide electrical for all workstations, offices, meeting rooms,

lighting and emergency systems.

• AV cabling for boardroom connectivity including sub-floor

Project Description: The Methodist Ladies' College, Perth (MLC Perth), is an independent, Uniting Church, day and boarding school for girls, located in Claremont, a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The College now provides more than 1120 Australian and international students with a holistic education. Lightspeed Communications was engaged to continue the civil mode fibre optic upgrade to the Walton and boarding house areas of Mercedes College. In addition to this, the new computer lab at Walton required 10 gigabit connectivity and as such a new krone cat 6a certified structured cabling system was installed to these areas. The fibre optics component of the works required the installation of new conduit and cable pathways to facilitate fibre optic reticulation through the heritage listed buildings. All works were completed on time and under budget.
