The Octa-Zoned surface sculpted design starts by utilizing “True Independent Load Bearing Cells (TILBC)” to reduce surface pressure and reduce shear. These cells allow the mattress to completely conform to your resident’s body. Also, byhaving the cells act independently, the natural shear forces created by foam surfaces are eliminated. Additionally, the channelscreated by our surface sculpted design create horizontal airflow just beneath the resident to lower surface temperaturesreducing heat and moisture build up. The sculpted topper is engineered with varying sized cells at different depths to beanatomically correct. The designated pressure reduction in the head and foot sections create unsurpassed comfort.

Our Contour-Zoned design in our newest 3500 mattress utilizes all of the above concepts but goes a step beyond.By using a more expensive Contour Sculpting, we can separate to an even greater degree the “True Independent LoadBearing Cells”. This provides greater shear reduction and increases the available horizontal airflow for a cooler sleep surface.

Octa-Zoned Surface SculptingEach cell absorbs the body and the critical bony prominences without any

additional resistance from the surrounding cells. This allows foroptimum pressure reduction. Our zoned sleep surface has

varying sized cells to accommodate the varying sized bonyprominences. Additionally, by varying the depths of the

channels we can increase or decrease the softness orfirmness of the zones to mirror the changing

weight densities of your residents’ bodies.
