WHO ARE WE?

FIND YOUR TRAINEE AMONG OUR TALENTS!

3D College, a part of Viden Djurs, is one of Denmark’s largest technical colleges in the field of media production.Since 2004, we have established ourselves as the leading vocational education (VET) and training institution for 3D graphic students in Denmark. Over the years, we have built up close relations to Danish businesses that focus on graphical development in games, VFX/motion design and architectural visualizations.

We make an effort of matching the competencies of our students with the demands of our business partners and, mediating the set-up and acting as a supporter for both student and business. We are always on the lookout for new partnerships with companies with creative and strong brands – locally, and internationally.

At any given time, we have about 100 students who are looking for trainee positions – many of whom would be potential candidates for international employers. We offer to screen students in advance to meet the criteria of each specific partner. The business will then receive a few hand-picked talents, who the 3D College staff consider to be a good match, thus saving the business a great deal of screening and studying.

Before starting in a traineeship, our students have worked with advanced modelling, animation and graphics. We train them in the most used 3D programs within the fields of film, games and architecture. Our students live on our campus, where there are a wide array of workshops and courses they can make use of in their spare time; plenty of opportunities for sparring and collaborating, and delving into their specific professional interests. They all have a general set of skills within the following professional fields:

Initial contact and interest between PIU coordinator and business is established.

The business partner chooses potential prospects to interview.

If there is a match, a contract is set up between student and business partner.

A meeting is set up between business and PIU coordinator to clarify profile wishes.

The PIU coordinator initiate an internal screening of students, hand-picking the best talents.

The business partner receives a handful of motivated applications with portfolio materials.

The student is hired on and the PIU coordinator serves as sparring partner for all parties throughout the traineeship

WHAT DOES TAKING A TRAINEE INVOLVE?A traineeship is a competency building collaboration between a student and business. It consists of an involvement period in which the student works and learns at the company, and one or more courses back at the school in Denmark. A typical trainee period can be anywhere from 3 to 12 months, but can be adapted to accommodate specific wishes from the business.

The trainee receives some financial aid from the Danish government to help cover travelling expenses and rent, but must also receive a trainee salary that reflects the general living costs of a trainee in the country in question.
