COURSE OVERVIEW:Full day presentation for physicians and nurses focusing on various types of trauma including those specifically related to a pediatric mass casualty event with an active shooter.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

•Prioritize the management and interventions for children with various injuries.

•Describe injury prevention and mitigation activities that can be incorporated into their practice.

TARGET AUDIENCE:These topics should be of interest to physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other health care professionals caring for pediatric trauma patients. Continuing education credits should be applicable for pediatric-specific trauma education hours required by state trauma regulations.
