If the light on the USB flash drive is on and the RUN indicator on the main control board is blinking fast (0.125s on and 0.125s off) after the USB flash drive is connected to the main control board, the base station starts loading the software and data configuration files from the USB flash drive.
If the light on the USB flash drive is off and the RUN indicator on the main control board keeps blinking slowly (1s on and 1s off) after the USB flash drive is connected to the main control board, the USB flash drive or the USB port on main control board is faulty.
Wait for the base station to automatically load and activate the software and data configuration files, and restart. Then verify that the loaded software and data configuration files have taken effect.
The local engineer can observe the status of the RUN indicator on the main control board to determine the loading status of the software and data configuration files, as provided in the following table. For a single-mode base station, this step takes about 15 minutes. For a multimode base station, this step takes about 25 to 30 minutes. It is recommended that the local engineer observe the status of the RUN indicator after this duration.
Remove the USB flash drive after the base station enters The loading succeeds status.
After the loading process is completed, the software activation and base station restart take about 3 minutes. You do not have to observe the status of the RUN indicator during this time.
After the restart, the base station checks new data configurations and determines whether the target software for all boards is obtained. If yes, the base station enters The loading succeeds status. If no, the base station performs supplementary loading for the newly added board from the USB flash drive. After the supplementary loading, the base station enters The loading succeeds status.

Case:
Transmission and remote deployment conditions are not met at the earlier stage of a delivery project. To meet the deadline, 200 sites are installed. After sites go online later, only 50 sites are working properly and the other 150 sites have alarms, such as standing wave alarms, optical alarms related to no TX/RX optical modules, and low or high optical power alarms.
Therefore, these 150 sites are handed over to the supervisor and subcontract to go online multiple times by using laptop computers and professional construction tools. This wastes costs and delays the progress.

USB:
1. Local faults are invisible and difficult to locate.
2. The deployment based on the USB flash drive depends a lot on the far end.
3. Many devices are required for check and there is a high risk of second visits.
Laptop computer
1. Skills of software commissioning engineers are high and devices are expensive.
2. Commands are queried manually one by one and the fault locating skill requirements are high.
PNP:
2. Transmission is out of position. The delivery cannot start.
3. Local faults are invisible and remote communication is inefficient.
4. OMC engineers are engaged in lots of affairs, calls, and pressure.
Acceptance:
2. Check items are easy to miss and error prone.

1. Later data filtering and reorganization costs a lot of time.
Labor costs are high and data accuracy is uncertain.

Four reasons to reduce costs
Even if transmission is out of position, we dare to install base stations. We can ensure no rework after the installation.
Generate neat deployment reports intelligently based on the photo collection guide, alarm query, and status query functions of smart terminals. This saves a lot of report making time.
Ensure no site installation faults before leaving sites
No requirement for the remote OSS
Eliminate second visits
GUIs simplify the installation and operations.
No user manual is required. Subcontractors can install base stations and user them immediately after the installation.
Reduce subcontractor skill requirements
Replace laptop computers by smart terminals.
Replace high skill requirements by low skill requirements.
The smart deployment toolkit, together with PNP remote deployment, is applicable to various deployment scenarios.

Modify the script file SDTConfig.txt.
1. During the first running, the SDT automatically generates the script file SDTConfig.txt in the root directory of the internal storage area.
Default values are used for parameters in the file. Change the values based on site requirements.
The SDTConfig.txt file can be edited by using WordPad.
2. The following values are changed:
Start alarm IDs (ALarmS, ALarmE) (If you need to see all the alarms, you can change it as follows: 1~2147483646 )
VSWR threshold

Function 4: Site Acceptance - ESN Bar Scanning
Workers scan bar codes based on pre-configured ESN entries. The function supports one-dimension and two-dimension code scanning.
The site name, RAT, and ESN name are automatically added before the ESN and then sent to OMC engineers by SMS or email. For example, Site78_GSM_BBU:210305394710CB001076.
The BBU ESN can be used in ESN binding during the M2000 PNP deployment in real time. This avoids the inefficiency and errors of manual ESN reading.
Avoid ESN copying and reading errors.
Real-time uploading accelerates the PNP deployment.
