THE TWENTY-FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

BIBLE TIMELINE: THE STORY OF SALVATION Please join us as we study The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation. Presenter Jeff Cavins will show you how fourteen of the Bible’s narrative books tell the biblical story from beginning to end. Classes began last week and continue two times every Thursday on August 26th, September 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Morning session will take place from 9:15-11:15 a.m., and the evening session will run from 7:15-9:15 p.m. There is no cost for the course. Refreshments will be served and a goodwill offering can be made the day of class. Please contact Deacon Ray with any questions at deacon. [email protected] or 603.882.7793, ext. 15.

PARISH PAGE-TURNERS RESUMING Parish Page-

Turners would like to invite you to read and discuss The Life of St. Catherine of Siena by Blessed Ray-mond of Capua. At the time of this writing, we still have a copy in the parish library (open Monday-Thursday, 9:00-4:00), but you are free to use your own copy! This will be a three part series, meeting Tuesday Sept 21st, Oct 19th and Nov 16th at 7pm in Room 1. For more information contact Karen Wilder (603) 881-8310.

SEEKING AN ASSISTANT SAFE ENVIRONMENT

COORDINATOR If you are interested in a volunteer

opportunity here at Saint Kathryn’s, here’s one that is essential for the operation of any of our ministries involving children. Safe Environment policies ensure that all of our volunteers have current criminal back-ground checks as well as certificates of completion for our online Safe Haven training for working with children. The SE Assistant will be working with Jean-ette, who has been our SE Coordinator for many years. The position involves keeping records, some data entry, email and phone communication for sev-eral hours a year. From August-October, a weekly trip to the parish office to complete necessary paper-work and emails should be expected, and for the rest of the year there may only be paperwork to do if there is a big event. If you are interested in volun-teering to maintain our Safe Environment standards, please call the parish office at 603.882.7793.

DAUGHTERS OF EVE The Daughters of Eve will be

starting back up in September. In order for more women to be able to attend we will meet every month on the 13th. Rotating which day we meet makes at-tending more flexible. Daughters of Eve mission state-ment: Women who strive to be-come like Mary with the encour-agement of other women.

Create a fellowship for ALL women of the parish A place to share how the Lord has been with you

through joys and hardship Support and help each other mature in our faith

and love for the Lord Please join us for our first meeting September 13th at 7PM in Room 1. We will be discussing Psalm 23. For more information contact Karen Wilder (603)-881-

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION Religious education registration forms for grades 1– 8 for school year 2021-2022 are available online at https://www.stkathryns.org/religious-education-grades-1-8 and in the back of the church. We are far into late registration, so tuition is now $50/child and $100/family maximum. Penance takes place in second grade. Confirmation and First Communion take place in third grade. All parents are encouraged to sign their children up for religious education, regardless of whether or not it is a sacrament year for them. How important it is to build that foundation of faith! We have two religious ed groups, and they meet on alternating weeks. Please send in your registrations as soon as possible for the best chance to select the group that is most convenient to your schedule.

KEEP KIDS SAFE—TECHNOLOGY TIPS:

CYBERBULLYING 43% of students report that they

have been cyberbullied. The following tips can help parents and kids prevent and respond to cyberbullying: • Teach your kids to “think before they post” • Encourage children to speak up if they or someone they know is being bullied, whether in person or online • Tell your children not to forward mean or embarrassing posts or photos • Let children know that you want them to come to you if there is a problem • Remind children to treat others as they wish to be treated For more information about child safety, visit www.catholicnh.org/safety
