Every year Placer County has the pleasure, and difficulty, of choosing our top youth from many applicants to award

two scholarships. This year we had some amazing and talented young men and woman apply for the Hulbert

Scholarship and the Placer County 4-H Council Scholarship. In order to apply you must be in high school and in 4-H;

we had scholars, artists, athletes, and leaders all with bright futures ahead of them. All of our community judges

were impressed beyond words with the confidence and ability of our county’s youth. Please help us congratulate the

following scholarship award winners:

Placer County and Gold Country Fair would like to remind us:

County, District and State Fairs cannot legally carry liability insurance covering junior exhibitors and/or their exhibits.

Liability insurance is the responsibility and at the discretion of the junior exhibitor. Therefore, it is suggested that junior

exhibitors consider taking out a liability policy covering themselves and their exhibits. All Independent Exhibitors are

required to show proof of liability insurance. All other Junior Exhibitors (4-H and FFA) are strongly urged to carry liability

insurance. A policy may be purchased through California Fair Services Authority for a minimal cost. Please be aware that

Gold Country Fair Jr. Livestock Rule # 36, stating that market steers must be under control at all times, will be strictly

enforced. Call the Fair offices for assistance and applications.

All 4-H project leaders, 4-H exhibitors, FFA Advisors, FFA exhibitors, Independent exhibitors and parents of Independent

exhibitors MUST complete Quality Assurance/Ethics training - NO EXCEPTIONS.

At this time, there is no in-person ethics training scheduled at Gold Country Fair if you are in need of an update. We will post new dates if they are scheduled.

If you are attending Gold Country Fair and are within your 5-years for the ethics course, please go to the link below and complete the survey.
