2018 4-H Summer Camp Week: July 3-6, 2018 (Tuesday - Friday)
It is time to register for 4-H Summer Camp!! 4-H Camp is one of the greatest experiences you will have in your life. It is a great time to meet and make new friends, try new things, and just have fun. I have enclosed the camp reservation form with this letter. Remember: campers are 9 - 15 years old.
Due to VERY GENEROUS donations, the fee for campers is $155.00! In addition, we have additional donors who know the value of camp and want you to be able to participate, so a camp scholarship application will be included with every registration packet this year.
Meade County will be attending camp at the beautiful West Kentucky 4-H Camp in Dawson Springs, KY. Our camping group will consist of Calloway, Union, Edmonson, McLean and Meade counties. This is an exciting opportunity for us! At the WKY 4-H Camp, you will be able to choose the classes you would like to attend, the cabins are air conditioned and you will have the opportunity to be more self-reliant and responsible.
All expenses are covered in the $155.00 fee, including transportation, lodging, meals and snacks, and insurance, with the exception of a little spending money for the country store. You will receive a copy of the store shopping list at camper orientation. You will have the opportunity to order a camp t-shirt closer to camp time.
ALL campers (new and experienced) and at least one adult are REQUIRED to attend a camper orientation this year. You must attend orientation in order to attend camp. We will be offering two sessions, but you are only required to attend one.
The 2018 4-H Camp Orientation dates are June 21st @ 6pm and June 28 @ 6pm.
So come on and complete the attached RESERVATION form and send it with your deposit (due by May 1st) to save your spot so you too can enjoy canoeing, swimming, horses, high and low ropes, zip line and many other activities!! Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, so GET YOURS IN NOW!
The first 30 reservations will receive a FREE 4-H camp souvenir!
All registrations are considered TENTATIVE until we secure the required adult volunteers to attend.
A complete camper registration packet will be sent to you after May 1st. Complete applications and payments in full are due in to the office by MAY 25, 2018.
