ADOPTING A DIFFERENT AT TITUDE
I am hoping to film the daily lives of one adopted teenager and what its really like to live as a adopted child an what there average day is.
The documentary will show the different lives they live and what makes us seem normal on the outside.
Would also try and talk to people who work at Coram such as people who run the adoption advice chat line and adoptive parents about how society treats adopted children differently?
This documentary would either be shown on bbc 3 or bbc1
Would be filmed at the persons house, collage/school, Coram headquarters, places where the person may go?
I have made contact with this person to see if they where willing to be filmed and they said yes.
I have also contacted people about talking to them about how society is hard for adopted teens but I have not heard back from them
This will be not formally addressed as its based on a teenager so I want it to look normal like a camera is just there following them.

THE PRESSURES WITHIN THE UK EDUCATION
SYSTEM
Documentary based on how the uk education system is changing and how students and staff are suffering.
I will be talking to Students and staff about how the changes to the education system have been effecting them in the recent years. I am also hoping to contact the minister or education on why they changed it and what they hope to achieve from the recent changes. I also will include facts and figures on how students stress ect has risen over the past years.
This documentary would be shown on bbc 1 as a lot of parents ect would be interested in it.
I am hoping to film this inside school, a formal looking office and also outside in the streets with the general public.
I would also try and create voxpops about members of the publics opinion.
I am hoping to interview two teachers and two pupils about how it is effecting them and what they think should be changed.
I am also wanting to film the head teacher of the school.
THE PRESSURES WITHIN THE UK EDUCATION
SYSTEM
secondary research:
There have been many articles published about how teenagers today are feeling the pressure to succeed too much. Many are saying hat the education system is making today's teens unhappier then they have ever been as well as causing them to be mentally effected, e.g.

Strengths:Original idea
Interesting idea as not many documentaries have been made on staff and pupils prospective.
Relatable subject
Good contacts
Weaknesses:Focus on a certain age
Needs primary research
Filming in school could be lazy
•Opportunities:•There aren't that many•Threats:•Filming in school may not attract a audience•Hard to interview education minister•Teachers may not want to be filmed
HOW THE ADOPTION/CARE SYSTEM HAS CHANGED PARENTS
EXPERIENCES OF IT IN THE PAST
I would be doing this based on how the adoption/care system has changed over the last few years and how it is improving for the better. I am hoping to try and talk to Edward Timpson who is minister of child welfare.
I would also try and talk to parents and teens/children about there experiences with the care system and how they think it has improved or in some ways may have become more bad
In order to get people for the documentary I have contacted parents who have adopted and I am hoping to have a few interviews with them.
This would be a very formal mode of address because it is aimed at people who are wanting to adopt ect.
This would be shown on bbc2 as it is aimed for older and boring people

Needs primary research
Opportunities:
Talk to parents who have adopted
A DAY IN A CHILDREN THEATRE
I was hoping to do something that is similar to Louie Spence's show business or pineapple dance studios
This would be aimed at people who are interested in what happens behind the scenes at a small theatre and also who are looking for the comedy aspect in a documentary.
I have spoken to my boss at he theatre I work in and he said he wouldn’t mind being filmed ect
When I film this I will be using a team of 3 camera crew so that I can get multiple shots and also so I don’t miss any funny moments.
This is going to also be informally addressed because it will be led by the theatre staff
This would be aimed to be aired on bbc3 as it is aimed at the teen/young adult generation
Secondary research in to children's theatre:

Based in a theatre and not done in a dance studio
Will have a voice over and text coming up e.g. ‘Sunday morning 10:10 am”
There wont be any dancing just observing the front desk and the conversations that go on between the staff members ect.
I would be filming what sort of things the theatre staff talk about.

Strengths:
Not many people have done a similar thing
Its more based on the working life and potential funny things
Weaknesses:
Could be hard to film
Camera crew might be hard to get
Opportunities:
Get to show life inside a theatre and its not all serious

MY IDEA FOR DEVELOPMENT
I have chosen to do the documentary on: a day in the life of a children's theatre.
My decision was influenced by the fact it had the most positive feedback and is also the easiest to film
This idea is practical as I will be filming at the place where I work and the boss has already agreed to it.
This appeals to my audience because it is aimed at a audience of 18-22 year olds who are interested in theatre.
