Thank you for your continued generosity in helping 4 Luv of Dog Rescue continue its mission to save the lives of dogs and find them bet- ter homes. Your time, donations and foster care are the cornerstone of this organization, and without you—the donor— it would not be possible. Your donations are important and needed. Even the smallest fundraising event makes a noticeable difference to a dog in need. Case in point: Last year’s “Christmas wish list” received 65 gifts for dogs that spent their Christmas in a foster home, board- ing facility or at the North Dakota State University facility. It’s all about the little things. That said, let’s take a look at some of the past fundraising events we’ve held and how you all helped keep the cause alive and running. One of the regular fundraising events held is the West Fargo Parks Rummage Sale that takes place in the spring and summer. This event is one of the base fundraisers that helps keep day-to-day functions at 4 Luv of Dog Rescue possible, and we have you, the donors, to thank for it. April’s event earned close to $900; September’s $1,300. As you can see, your efforts and donations are not lost. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue provides and pays for all necessities (food, kennel, medi- cal care, etc.) but cannot do this without your support. Again, thank you. It’s that time of year again, and the 4th Annual Silent Auction & Gala is prepared to overshadow the pre- vious year’s success stories. 2009’s event, our first large fundraiser, exceeded everyone’s expectations. With approximately 350 people in attendance and 240 bidders, it set the stage for 4 Luv of Dog Rescue to become a truly independent charitable organization. The event drew in $13,141! A great start to say the least. 2010 was an even greater success as approximately 475 people at- tended at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fargo. This fundraiser drew 340 bidders and as a result you all sup- ported 4 Luv of Dog Rescue to the tune of an astounding $20,322! A smashing success and one in which we can again say wholeheartedly, thank you. The 3rd Annual Silent Auction & Gala really made the statement that this was the year to officially make the event annual. The admirable efforts by all the volunteers, donors and attendees made this particular event a tremendous step forward for 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in gen- eral. Attendance was spectacular with approximately 635-plus people gathering to support the cause with 455 bidders bringing in an amazing $28,000! At the risk of sounding redundant, but in lieu of those numbers, we can only say, thank you so very much! Continued on page 4 4 Luv of Dog Rescue volunteers work the West Fargo Parks Rummage Sale.
