Mark your calendars…Wednesday, September 18, KY 3 TV will air the 5 and 6 PM news from Mountain Home. KY 3 is celebrating 60 years and we are one of the cities they will visit! Watch for emails and press releases announcing the host site for the broadcast...looking for a big crowd to show our support.

Also, we’ll have important visitors in October. In late October, during the Twin Lakes Area Press Tour/Famil-iarization Tour, twenty journalists will visit Mountain Home for a week of hiking, kayaking, boating, fishing, fall foliage, road bike/motorcycle, golf, etc…Arkansas Parks & Tourism has requested that the ma-jority of the writers contribute to “general interest” publications but have also requested some specific fishing, motorcycle and golf publications. We may be calling on you to assist us in the planning of this event. We can expect to see articles from these journalists in a variety of publications in the upcoming year.

FOCUS MOUNTAIN HOME - UPDATE

Voting for the upcoming Chamber Board Directors will be different this year. On October 18, 2013 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, at El Chico’s Café, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce will host a special “election” meeting. We ask for your support and participation!

All members are asked to stop by and cast your vote for your top six candidates. The six candidates with the most votes will join the Chamber Board for 2014 – 2016. You will receive the bios of the twelve candidates in late September via email. Those members who do not have email will receive the bios via USPS.
