Ultrasonic InspectionNguyên lý - Principle: sóng âm là dạng sóng cơ học

• Sóng âm phát ra từ đầu dò và lan truyền vào vật liệu (The sound is emitted from probe and propagates into material).

• Đầu dò nhận phản xạ sóng âm sau khi khoảng thời gian lan truyền (Probe receives reflected sound after a period).

• Tín hiệu xuất hiện trên màn hình tại khoảng cách sóng âm phản xạ (The signal appears on screen at distance that relate to the period).

• Kim loại- Most metal except those with coarse or varying grain structure

Ứng dụng điển hình trong công việc hàn-Typical

welding applications :• Hầu như tất mối hàn kết cấu - Almost welds in structure.

• Mối hàn ống công nghệ, đường ống pipeline -Welds joint of piping, pipeline.

Giới hạn kích thước -Weld-size limitations (PVMS’s procedures):

• Structure -Plate: thk. 8-200mm (theo tiêu chuẩn AWS D1.1) .

• Pipe: Dia. >168 and thk. >8mm




Ưu điểm - Advantages:

• Đưa ra được kết quả trực tiếp -Immediate presentation of

results.• Không cần thiết phải sơ tán con người tại nơi

làm việc -Not necessary to evacuate personnel.

Giới hạn-Limitations:

• Xác định vị trí độ sâu khuyết tật- Depth location of defects.

• Phương pháp UT thủ công không cho diễn tả kết

quả bằng hình ảnh - No pictorial record.

• Kỹ thuật viên cần phải được đào tạo chuyên môn và

có kỹ năng -Trained and skilled operator needed.

surface to be test.

• BLT ở trên hoăc gần bề mặt làm đứt ngang từ trường -Discontinuity on or near the surface disrupt the magnetic field ( trừ khi chúng song song với nhau-unless they are parallel to it)

• Các hạt từ lỏng linh động tập trung xung quanh BLT -A magnetic particle fluid suspension is applied which concentrates around the defects.

• Là vật liệu sắt từ và một số hợp kim nickel-Magnetic materials only - ferric steels and some nickel alloys.

Khả năng phát hiện-Ability detection:

• KT bề mặt nhỏ nhất có chiều rộng 0.025mm-Minimum defect size 0.025mm wide at surface.

Ứng dụng điển hình- Typical welding applications :

• Kiểm tra chi tiết kết cấu hàn- Rapid inspection of welded structural details.

• Kiểm tra những bộ phận nhỏ- Production rate inspection of

small components.



MPI

Ưu điểm-Advantages:

• Xác định trực tiếp vị trí của BLT -Direct indication of defect location.

Limitations:

• Phát hiện một vài BLT gần bề mặtnhưng độ nhạy thấp- Some indication of sub-surface defects but of low sensitivity.

• Không sử dụng đối với vật liệu không sắt từ.

• Not critically dependent on surface condition.

Nguyên lý

Principle:

RADIOGRAPHY • Bức xạ bị hấp thụ bởi vật liệu, nó mang năng lượng và suy

yếu dần khi nó xuyên qua vật liệu-The radiation is absorbed by material, so it’s energy is declined after across material.

• Độ đen của film được thể hiện lượng bức xạ xuyên qua-Film

• Kỹ thuật viên phải biết rõ ràng về khu vực trong thời gian chiếu

phóng xạ-Personnel must be clear of area during exposure.• KT nứt và không ngấu có hướng song song với phim sẽ không

thể hiện trên phim sau khi phim được chụp-Cracks or lack of fusion parallel to film may not show up.

• Giá cả đắt-Film expensive.

DYE PENETRANT INSPECTION



Loại hoạt động-Type of operation:

• Bằng thủ công-Manual

• Cơ giới hóa-Mechanized



Nguyên lý-Principle:

• Áp chất thấm lên bề mặt vật liệu-A special dye is applied to the surface .

• Sau đó lau sạch bề mặt-Surface is cleaned

• Áp chất hiện lên -Applying a white powder developer

• Quan sát chỉ thị hiện lên bề mặt-The dye is absorbed producing a color indication on surface



Quy trình thử-Testing Procedure:

• Trước khi gia nhiệt-Before

treatment. • Làm sạch bề mặt-Pre-clean with

cleaner

• Áp chất thấm-Apply penetrant

• chùi sạch chất thấm bằng rẻ sạch, giấy-Remove penetrant by wiping with cloth...

• Và dung môi để làm sạch… and solvent wipe using cleaner
