2 4th Practice Forum – Realize Digital Transformation
Welcome to the 4th Practice Forum
Realize Digital Transformation
Since establishing e.GO Mobile in 2015, we have shown its leaps of pro-gress, enabled by digital and agile business processes and the support by member companies of the European 4.0 Transformation Center, at our annual Practice Forum taking place at RWTH Aachen Campus.
Our 4th Practice Forum – Realize Digital Transformation – gives you deep insights into strategy, products, processes and digitalization through key-note presentations, test driving the e.GO Life, visiting e.GO’s Industrie 4.0 series production, and discussing individually with E4TC and its member companies about your way to the Internet of Production.
The Aachen-originated Internet of Production architecture constitutes a compass to planning and roadmap to delivering 4.0 Transformation. We will show you at this one-day event how to apply and how to support the levers pivotal to rapid realization of your own way forward.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Aachen soon.
Sincerely yours
Prof. Dr. Günther Schuh Dr. Rupert Deger

Internet of Production Expert Forum
Development Cycle 4.0The digital Development Cycle comprises usage of standard software for requirements and test management, CAx-tools for each design discipline, a single source of truth about the product through an engineering BOM (eBOM) in the PLM system, the translation from eBOM to mBOM for manufacturing and materials management, apps or standard software features for tracking development goals with respect to product performance, product quality as well as quality of the data created in the development process.
Production Cycle 4.0The digitalization of the Production Cycle makes use of the master data released from the development cycle and enriches it with additional information. The Production Cycle is transaction-oriented and comprises ERP System for order management, Management Execution System (MES) for shopfloor management, Warehouse Management System for in-house logistics, real-time production management with the help of a holistic digital shadow featured in a Smart Factory solution as well as creation and tracking of qualitative feedback in a Ticket Management System.
User Cycle 4.0The digital User Cycle entails the external customer journey from website to sales configurator to webshop as well as the underlying internal marketing and sales processes. After the delivery of the e.GO Life, the customer downloads an app that taps into real-time telemetry data of the vehicle. Workshops utilize a dedicated e.GO Service app to purchase spare parts and manage service orders. This digital ecosystem covers all User Cycle activities in the user cycle, offering a strong foundation for data-driven feedback to the various internal processes of the manufacturer.
Digital Enterprise ArchitectureTransparency, traceability, and analytics form the core of each 4.0 Transformation, especially when they are applied in a closed loop moving upstream, contrary to the usual process flows. This implies overarching guidelines for implementing and using the classic major software applications within their process domains framing data structures, nomenclatures, and data administration. This is the fundamental requirement to allow for access and establishment of overarching context in any direction. Modern Internet of Things technologies are needed to implement this within our Internet of Production architecture in a flexible and lean manner allowing for a continuous improvement culture.
