Creepy Crawly Camp Come explore the wonderful world of bugs by looking closer…a lot closer…at the fascinating creatures they all are. Our closer look begins with microscopes and various tools to bring them and their world into perspective. Campers will explore bugs in nature and go on a bug hunt. Yoga for KidsAges 5-8 In this exciting class children will have an opportunity to explore their imaginations, get creative, and have fun, while experienc-ing Yoga. Research shows that when children do yoga in a playful but structured environment, they begin to develop better body awareness and the initial tools for better concentration, coordination and bal-ance. While “playing” yoga they may hiss like snakes in the Cobra pose, or learn to balance on one foot while standing tall like trees. Students will enjoy nature hikes, yoga games, storytelling, music, and crafts. So slither, hop, or fly right over to yoga class! All they need to bring is their imagination. CSI Camp Experience a day in the life of a drug-testing lab technician. Campers become lab techs to discover how science catches cheaters. But wait-there’s been a murder in the athlete’s village and it’s up to you to ID the suspect using forensic science including bite impressions, finger printing and DNA extractions. Ages 5-7. Stay in shape over the summer! In this energetic and live-ly class, explore a wide variety of dance forms, such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, tap modern/contemporary, acro and stretching. In this energetic and lively class, explore a wide variety of dance forms, such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, tap modern/contemporary, acro and stretching. Students will devel-op techniques in a fun and interactive manner. On Friday afternoon students with dazzle friends and family with a final performance. Special Needs Children WelcomeLimited Enrollment – Special need must be identified at registration. Any children identified as special needs previously (P.U.F. Inclusive Care) and require an Assistant, MUST provide their own assistant for the Camp. Please call 403.362.1675 to discuss this further.

Withdrawals• Withdrawls prior to the course starting are subject to a $25 processing charge.• Withdrawls received after commencement may result in liability for the entire fee.• Substitutions may be made any time prior to commencement.

Course Cancellations If your course is cancelled, you may either transfer to another course or reeceive a full refund. Should the course for which you have registered be cancelled, we will make every effort to inform you at home or at work prior to the start date of the course. Please provide both business and home numbers at the time of registration. If you do not have a second contact number or especially if you live out of town, please call us at 403.362.1677 the day before class commencement.

What to Wear and Bring to Camp All children should wear comfortable clothes including shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes suitable for physical activity. For cool days, a sweatshirt. It is strongly recommended and enforced that children wear hats while outdoors to shade their heads from the sun and wear sunscreen. Snacks will not provided this year due to numerous food allergies and aversions – bring a snack and beverage daily.

Lunch Supervision All campers who are enrolled in a full day camps, can participate in a FREE supervised lunch period. If your camper is registered in a full day Continuing Studies camp, please call 403.362.1675 for further details about lunch time care. Campers will eat their lunches in the College Cafeteria, which is an air conditioned area. Campers must bring their own lunch. Lunch time transition and morning to afternoon camp transition are fully coordi-nated by camp staff.

Food Allergies We are a nut free camp, and we request that campers do not bring any foods that contain nuts, i.e. peanut butter or granola bars. If consuming nut products prior to arriving at camp, please wash hands diligently. If your child has any food allergies, we ask that you note them on your child’s registration form, and we will make every attempt to accom-modate their needs.

Pick-up and Drop-off Drop-off for morning and full day programs will begin at 8:45 AM. Pick-up for morning programs will begin at 12:00 NOON. Drop-off for afternoon programs will begin at 12:45 PM. Pick-up for afternoon and full day programs is between 4:00 PM and 4:15 PM. All loca-tions for each camp will be listed on the whiteboard at the entrance to the college.

Wha t every Babysit ter Should KnowAges 11+. Prepare for this important responsibility by learning to be the best babysitter you can be. Participants will spend one day with a St. John’s Ambulance instructor learning basic skills which will prepare them to deal with emergency situation plus general principles in caring for infants and young children. Students will spend the other day devel-oping great skills in childcare management. Students will learn to safely prepare appropriate snacks and meals and learn crafts and games for a variety of age groups. They will learn how to develop a babysitting bag with fun, age appropriate activities and crafts and toys that they will be able to take with them when babysitting.
