Everyday, I see dozens if not hundreds of blog posts by business

owners shared on social media.

But I only ever click, and read, a select few.

Why?

1. I DIDN’T SEE IT

Fix it:✓ Share the post on all your social channels (bonus points for adapting the updates to suit the style of each network) ✓ Schedule to share it again & again over the coming weeks & months ✓ Email it to your subscribers ✓ Post natively to your LinkedIn profile ✓ Submit your blog to niche site, or repurpose for sites like Slideshare

2. YOUR HEADLINE SUCKS

Fix it:✓ Learn these 10 winning headline formulas ✓Spend more time on your headline writing than your content ✓Test a few different headlines out for each post (e.g you can A/B test

your email subject lines) and measure the results ✓See what headlines YOU click on, and figure out the psychology

behind why, and use those principles in your own

3. YOUR POST IS ALL ABOUT YOU & YOUR BUSINESS

Fix it:✓ Write down all the challenges & FAQS your customers have ✓ Write blog posts about how to solve just one of those things at a time ✓Give really useful, helpful advice & support. ✓Try sharing your experiences of learning something knew that would

be of interest and helpful to your clients.

(hint – make your audience’s life easier and they’ll want to read your blog posts!)

4. IT’S TOO WORDY

Fix it:✓ Use short sentences ✓ Run it through the hemmingway app ✓Break your text up with good formatting ✓Get someone to proof and copyedit it for you
