    Food Offering Torma (zhalzé). Approximately 6 inches (15 cm) tall. You will need

    to make two of these, one for the main shrine and one for the offering table for the

    deceased.

    Obstacle-makers’ torma (gektor). Approximately 5 inches (13 cm) tall, with a

    candle that can be lit. There is no dot on the back. The candle wick is made from

    cotton that is rolled tightly.

    Lotus torma. Approximately 6 to 7 inches (15-18cm) in diameter. There should be

    enough dough to fill the tsa-tsa mould and provide a substantial stub as the tsa-tsa’s base.

    Vases needed for the pūja

    The Vijaya Vase (left with red bow and tsakli,) and the Activity Vase.

    Mold for Stūpa Tsa-Tsa

    You will need a large mold for making a stūpa tsa tsa if you are going to burn the name

    inscription. This one is about 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) in diameter, and about 4.8 inches (12.2

    cm) tall.

    Vajras with Dhāraṇī Cord

    Two small vajras with 5-colour dhāraṇī cord. The vajra with the simple knot is mounted in the crook of the

    spout of the Vijaya Vase (see previous page). The vajra with the dhārāṇi cord wrapped around it will be

    unrolled and given to the Vajra Master while consecrating the Vijaya Vase.

    9. Seed Syllables of the Six Realms

    You can visualize the syllables in Tibetan script or in our usual Roman script. If you practice with Roman script, you could include the diacritical markings since corresponding diacritical marks occur in the Tibetan script as well.
