    being, and love.

    – A Feng Shui Blessing

  • WHAT IS FENG SHUI?

Feng Shui is a support system for our

lives. Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art

and science that allows us to create

    harmony and balance within any

    environment. When we create harmony

and balance, it lends support to our lives.

When our lives have support through our

environment, it is then much easier for us

to achieve the things we want in life like

    well-being, abundance, love and

happiness. What that means for you is

that you have the ability to control how

supportive your environment is in creating

the life you want, right now. Together, we

will work on your goals by bringing

balance and harmony to your space with

    the principles of Feng Shui.

  • YOUR ROLE IN FENG SHUI

Your personal energy is integral to achieving successful results. Why is that?

In Chinese metaphysics, there is a lot of talk about luck. I’m not talking about

4-leaf clover or lucky rabbit’s foot kind of luck. I'm talking about a concept

sometimes identified as "The Cosmic Trinity", which is the sum of an

individual's energy potential - Heaven Luck, Earth Luck, and Human Luck.

HEAVEN LUCK is established before we are able

to make conscious choices. It is

energy that we are born with.

EARTH LUCK is specifically associated with Feng

Shui. This luck says that Qi/energy

    exists within our environment and

    can affect us very differently.

is our focus for the rest of this book. This is

the energy and momentum that we create in

our lives by way of our own choices.

    HUMAN LUCK

Essentially it is our free will. Feng Shui, when it is done well, is a real

collaboration. I know what I can do on the Feng Shui side; I help you

with the Earth Luck component. You bring the Human Luck, your energy,

and your choices. When we work together toward your goals, you are

choosing a transformative experience in the Feng Shui journey.

The choices we make and the momentum we create in our lives is what

makes us all unique. No one else has ever walked your path and

experienced the things you have experienced.

  • THE EIGHT MANSIONS

OBJECTIVE:The objective of using this system is to determine an

    individual’s compatibility with a home/property.

There is a lot of beautiful history and detailed

explanation in this system. For now, we will stick with

    the basic application.

    EAST LIFE/WEST LIFE GROUP

Each person is assigned to either an East Life

Group or a West Life Group. We use an

individual’s biological sex at time of birth to

determine a person’s Gua number. Gua means

house or mansion. Once we have this number,

we can identify the four ‘favorable’ and four

    ‘unfavorable’ directions.

The Eight Mansions system is sometimes also called EightHouse Feng Shui. In Chinese, the word for Eight House isBazhai. You may also see this named the East/West system. This Eight Mansions system relies on the understanding thateach of the eight cardinal directions (North, South, East, West,Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Southwest) holds adifferent kind of Qi/energy which affect us very differently –either positively or negatively. This system is used to determinean individual’s four ‘favorable’ and four ‘unfavorable’ directions. This can be applied to a person, home or office.

  • GETTINGSTARTED

Here are the basic steps to begin:1.  Refer to page 7 & 82.  Find your correct birth year

    a.  *Note: If you were born January 1 –February 5, you need to use theprevious year’s animal. This is becausethe Chinese calendar is a solarcalendar and not the same as ourGregorian system. b.  Ex: A woman born January 16, 1985is NOT born in OX year. This womanneeds to refer to the previous year of1984, which is RAT.

    3.  Identify your Animal and Life Group4.  Using the charts on page 8, you cansee your Eight Mansions favorable andunfavorable directions. 5.  You will find attributes ofyour life Gua. These indicate the kind ofinfluence the energy has on you.

  • Find your birth year in the charts belowand then determine your Animal and Life Group Number.

    Life Gua Number

  • Based on your number determined on the previous page, figure out if you are in the East or West Life Group. From here, we can establish your Eight Mansions favorable and unfavorable directions. Last, you will find

attributes of your Life Gua number and famous individuals who share the same group.

    Life Gua Chart

  • HOW TO USE THE CHART

+90 Sheng Qi is the overall best direction. This energy is for wealthgeneration, prosperity, and respectability. This is the most favorabledirection to conduct business, studying, or anything else of personalor professional significance. +80 Tien Yi is also called the “Heavenly Doctor”. This energy is forgood health and harmonious relationships. +70 Yen Nien is helpful for relationships. This energy is alsoconsidered a direction that supports longevity & romance. +60 Fu Wei is good at establishing stability. This energy is good touse if you want things to move slow and steady or change very little. You will get your best sleep if the crown of your head points towardsthis direction. -60 Ho Hai indicates that nothing goes smoothly. This energy bringsaccidents, arguments, abandonment, and injury. -70 Wu Gwei indicates bad romance. This energy brings maliciousentanglements, failed relationships which can lead to divorce. -80 Liu Sha indicates illness. • SITTING/SLEEPING

SITTING DIRECTIONSIf you are facing your favorable

directions, such as +90 or +80, you will

    promote good fortune and productivity.

This is excellent for meetings and

negotiations as well! Alternately, if you

are facing your -60 or -90 directions,

    you might experience drowsiness and

    procrastination.

SLEEPING DIRECTIONThe position promoting the most

restful night’s sleep is having the

crown of your head pointing to the +60

direction. The second best option is

    your +70 direction.

If you are using your +90 direction for

sleeping, your mind will stay working

    hard and may trigger insomnia.

  • COMPATABILITYYou can see that peoplebelonging to opposingLife Groups havecompletely differentdirections. In fact, theexact opposite! Doesthat mean that I am notcompatible with mypartner? Now that you

    determine

    your favorable

    directions that
