The Certificate IV in TESOL at Navitas English is a nationally accredited qualification for people who plan to teach English as a Second Language anywhere in the world. This 8 week, full time, face to face course is offered by Navitas English and delivered by the Australian TESOL Training Centre. It is an intensive, dynamic and practical course designed to prepare future English language teachers for the classroom.

On this course you will:• Learn about communicative
language teaching and how to meet the needs of different learners in Australia and overseas.
• Improve your knowledge of texts, grammar, meaning, use and pronunciation. Learn how to teach and give learners language practice.
• Improve your knowledge of the language skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading. Learn how to teach and give your learners skills practice.
• Independently plan and teach your own lessons and have practical teaching advice and feedback on how to improve your teaching.
Entry requirement:Upper-Intermediate level of English (IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 500/ATTC entry test)
The Certificate IV in TESOL includes six units of competency:• Apply Adult TESOL Methodologies to
Develop English Language skills (NYRD)
• Design and Develop Learning Strategies (NFNZ TAADES501B)
• Design and Develop Learning Resources (NFPA TAADES502B)
• Identify and use Basic Grammatical Concepts and Traditional Metalanguage (RYMS)
• Plan an Integrated Lesson using Communicative Language Teaching Methodology (RYMT)
• Use the Terminology of Traditional Grammar and Locate Information in a Grammar Textbook (RYMW)
