    1. Inspect pitot static system using suitabletest equipment.

    2. Test pitot system as follows, if suitableequipment is not available:

    a. Inspect pitot lines for leakage byslipping a rubber or plastic hose 0.75 inch(19.05 mm) diameter over pitot tube. Securehose using tape.

    b. Roll the hose tightly to force air intopitot tube, until the airspeed indicator reads100 knots. Tape the rolled hose in place.

    C. Observe the airspeed indicator for fiveminutes. Airspeed should not drop more thanfive knots in five minutes.

    d. When inspection is completed; removehose from pitot tube.

    3. Inspect static lines for leakage as follows:

    b. Disconnect tube from right side staticvent. Slip plastic or rubber hose over end ofthe tube and secure in place using tape.

    C. Disconnect tube from the altimeterindicator. Disconnect tube from the verticalspeed indicator. Cap the tubes.

    d. Roll the hose tightly, previouslydisconnected from right side static vent (stepb.) Rolling this hose will force air into thestatic system. When the airspeed indicatorreads 100 knots, tape the hose in place.

    e. Disconnect 130-011-4N50 and 130-011-4N52 tubes from the airspeed indicator.Connect the 130-011-4N52 tube to airspeedindicator where the 130-011-4N50 tube isnormally installed.
