NCC PROFILE

4/15 KAR BN, I.D.S.G, GOVT. COLLEGE, CHIKMAGALUR “National Cadet Corps” as an extension activity of the college established in the year

1966. The college NCC battalion situated at Hassan and Group head quarters is at Mysore. For

this academic year 2018-19 there are 108 NCC cadets admitted, out of which 43 are SW’s

cadets, out of which NCC unit has 2 junior under officers who are all well disciplined and good

sportsmen. The rest of the cadets are given ranks according to the rules of the army wing.

Senior women’s unit is introduced from 2002-03 and 43 senior girls admitted to the unit. They

also take active role in the activities of NCC in our college.

There are 15 parades scheduled for 1st year cadets and 18 parades for 2nd and 3rd year

cadets for each academic year. The parades are conducted on every Sunday between 08:00 hrs

to 12:00 hrs. The first two hours of each parade are utilized for drill and other field activities.

The remaining two hours are spent in social work in the college campus. The parades are

conducted on the basis of a prescribed format. In addition there are theory classes for the cadets.

At the end of every year our associate NCC Officer Lt Guruswamy K conducts the examination

both practical and theory. Those who perform at their level best are promoted to the 2nd year.

In addition, for the 2nd year, “B” certificate examination and for 3rd year “C” certificate

examinations are conducted by the Group HQ Mysore at the scheduled place.

National level camps are organized by Director General NCC- at Delhi they are IDC –

Independence Day camp, TSC – Tal Sainik Camp, RDC- Republic day camp, NIC – National

integration camp. By participating in these camps, our cadets are instilled discipline and

become best citizen of India. Every year social service works like, Swach Bharath Abhiyan,

International Day of Yoga Celebration, Tree plantation, Traffic control and blood donation

camp are conducted by the 4/15 KAR BN NCC, I.D.S.G Govt. College, Chikkamagaluru . We

also conduct annual range firing, where training is given to cadets.

CSUO KALAVATHI K K, as a class example of discipline and spirit amongst us

thorough her participation in R.D parade Delhi during the year 2018-2019.

SUO Kalavathi K K participated in All India Guard of honour RDC Parade New Delhi-

2018 and Awarded DDG Commendation with Medal.

15 KAR BN NCC Hassan Organized CATC Camp in I.D.S.G Govt. College,

Chickmagalur from 15-24 Sept. 2018. 600 Cadets were participated form Different

Bn’s of Mysore group. Lt Guruswamy K NCC Officer I.D.S.G. Govt. College,

Chickmagalur, appointed as a Camp adjutant.

On 31/5/18 to 09/06/18 BLC camp conducted by 15KAR Bn in HN Pura from our

college 5 cadets participated in camp and our cadet CSUO. Kalavthi K.K SUO Karthik

M.J, JUO Pavan Kumar .K.K participated in guard of honour computation and won first

prize.

On 9/8/18 to 19/8/18 on TSC IGC camp which was held in vijayapura our college cadet

SGT Praveen M.S. and SGT Darshan T.P participated

On 23/08/18 to 02/09/18 TSC IGC camp which was held in tumkur our college cadet

SGT Shilp SGT Bindu is participated

On 20/09/18 to 02/09/18 army attachment camp held in Bangalore our college associate

NCC Officer Lt.Guruswamy. K. Lead the camp.

On 24/09/18 to 23/09/18 ATC camp held in our college 50 cadets were participated in

this camp college NCC cadets donated their blood and free eye checkup was organised.

In this camp drill compitation was conducted and Alfaz Ahemad lead the troop and

won second prize and CSUO Kalavathi k.k was lead the guard of honour and won first

prize. Quiz, debate and best cadet competition was conducted and Pavan kumar K.K

won first prize

15 KAR BN adopted mahal village supporting for development

August 15/8/18 Independece day which was held in district field chikmagaluru in that

our college participated which was lead by CSUO Kalavathi K K. In our college

Independence Day was celebrated by NCC students.

On 02/9/18 in our college Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated

On 10/09/18 to 23/9/18 Manali Himanchal Pradesh to Mountaring trekking camp SUO

Karthik M.J and SGT Praveen M.S were participated

On 12/12/18 in Tirupathi all India trekking camp our college SUO Karthik M J was

participated

On 12/12/18 Belgavi trekking camp our college SGT Yashwanth participated

On 26/01/19 on January NCC cadets decorated flag area beautifully and participated in

republic day. The drill competition was held in district field which was lead by SUO

Karthik M.J. won the first prize and made our college proud.

On January army attachment camp was held in Secunderbad and SGT Santhosh B.M

participated

On march EBSB camp was held in Mysore Jeevan K.R, Nandkumar , Vishnu raj were

participated .

For all above achievement we heartly thanks to our teachers and our principal and we need

your support for more and more achievement in future.

CAMP REPORT

1. 15 KAR BN NCC is conducting a combined annual training camp at IDSG College CKM

from 14th Sep to 23rd Sep 2018. The officers detailed to the camp are .Col D.K Singh Deo.

The camp commandant and commanding officer 15 KAR BN NCC Hassan. The Dye, camp

commandant Lt.Col. Rippon Tripati, AO 15 KAR BN NCC Hassan, camp Ad fondant Lt.

Guruswami. K I.D.S.G Govt. College CKM, Capt. Kusuma GFGWC, Hassan and followed

by all ranks of 15 KAR BN NCC Hassan it is being attended by 600 cadets 186 SD, 109 SW,

161 JD and 144 JW cadet from the district of Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Mandya and

Mysore.

2. The camp being held to develop character, discipline, leadership quality of nation

building and spirit of selfless service and adventure based selection and Trg of cadets is

also being done for republic day camp to be held new Delhi in June 2018

3. The routine of camp involved reveille at 5:30 followed by physical Trg, Drill, WT and all

other NCC activities

4. Adequate attention was paid in organising team games in the evening followed roll call

5. Post dinner was utilized for bringing out the cultural talent in the cadet

6. Along with the daily rutine,15, 17, 18th conducted firing for best cadet selection at

police firing range near Saganipura

7. During the coerce to the Camp a eye Camp was held on 16th sep at the college

auditorium in which 450 cadets were checked. The camp was held under the guidance of

Dav Tapesh, Shankar Nethralaya Shivamogga. The camp inaugurated by principal T.C

basavarajappa of IDSG College.
