Immunological methods are disclosed for dia- gnosing active human neurocysticercosis, in- cluding a serum test and a cerebrospinal fluid test. The serum test involves detecting an anti- body in serum which recognizes at least one of three particular antigens isolated from Taenia solium larvae. The cerebrospinal fluid test in- volves detecting an antigen or antigens of larval origin, preferably by an ELISA technique.

A reagent system for assaying creatine kinase is disclosed. The reagent system consisting essen- tially of a first reagent comprising glucose-6- phosphate dehydrogenase, beta- nicotinamideadenine dinucleotide (phosphate), and adenosine diphosphate, and a second rea- gent comprising creatine phosphate, said second reagent being maintained at a pH of from 7.5 to 10, and at least one of said first reagent and said second reagent containing glucokinase and glucose. The creatine kinase-assaying reagent ex- hibits remarkably improved stability in a dis- solved state so that it can be prepared in large quantities and can be conventionally utilized to cope with urgent clinical examinations.

This invention relates to antibody-metal ion complexes having a metal ion coordinately bound to a compatible chelator covalently bound to an antibody or antibody fragment. Also described are methods for intermediates in the preparation of antibody-metal ion com- plexes. Therapeutic and in vitro and in vivo dia- gnostic methods utilizing such antibody-metal ion complexes are described.
