The WDB, MDB & ADB Seriesbearing temperature sensors aredesigned to screw directly into anexisting grease zerk fitting on abearing housing. TouchswitchThe Touchswitch is an electro-mechanical limit-switch style sensorwith no moving parts. It is designed todetect belt tracking and misalignmentproblems on bucket elevators andconveyors. Unlike a rub block thatutilizes friction (heat) to activate, theTouchswitch is pressure sensitive forsafer and more reliable monitoring.

Inductive Sensors4B inductive proximity sensors aredesigned to detect shaft speed, shaftposition, gate position, or objectpresence. No contact is madebetween the sensor and the targetbeing monitored. Sensors will detecta ferrous object at 1/2" and a non-ferrous metal object at a distance of5/16". *Can be used with the Whirligiguniversal shaft sensor mount

Autoset SeriesThe Autoset Series are self-contained point level monitors withdigital displays for high, intermediate,or low-level detection of liquids,powders or free-flowing granularsolids. The Autoset Series incorporatessimple push-button calibrationwith microprocessor enable/disable switch for totalprotection of stored values.Once the unit is calibrated for aspecific application, it neverhas to be re-calibrated.

HAZARD MONITORINGSYSTEMS

The T500 Elite - Hotbus is a serial communication system specially designedto monitor up to 256 sensors, including continuous bearing temperature andbelt misalignment. With automatic machine shutdown capability and PLC/PCcompatibility this advanced microprocessor based system offers low costinstallation, versatility and easy system expansion. Logging and trendingsoftware is also available for historic data analysis and preventative andpredictive machine maintenance.

The Watchdog Elite is a microprocessor controlled unitwith combined belt speed, belt alignment, bearingtemperature, pulley alignment and plugged conditionmonitoring for bucket elevators and conveyors. An LCDscreen displays machine status messages (available infour different languages) and a super-bright LEDdisplay shows belt speed. Belt Alignment Monitoring

The A400 Elite is a microprocessorbased control unit which uses highpower magnetic sensors that detectmoving metallic buckets or bolts fromeither one or two bucket elevators.The unit is able to provide an alarmand automatic shutdown of theelevator when a belt misalignment/underspeed condition is detected.

The B400 Elite is a microprocessorbased control unit which uses sensorsto detect belt misalignment bypressure (Touchswitch) from one ortwo elevators/conveyors. The unit isable to provide an alarm and automaticshutdown of the elevator/conveyorwhen a belt misalignment conditionis detected.

The X400 Elite – Alarmswitch is amicroprocessor based control unitwhich is able to accept contact stylesignals in 8 separate zones. Alarm andstatus LEDs provide quick location ofthe alarm. A single local and optionalremote alarm mute push buttonacknowledges any alarm condition.

WDB8 MDB WDB7 LUG STYLEThe WDB7 series is a lug style NTC, PTC,Pt100 thermistor model for continuoussurface temperature monitoring and hasbeen designed to bolt directly onto abearing housing, motor, gearbox, or machinecasing. The mounting hole is 8mm fromthe factory, but can be drilled up to 13mmif needed. The sensor can be connected toa PLC or to a hazard monitoring system,such as 4B’s T500 Hotbus Elite, WatchdogElite, or T400 Elite. The connections arenot polarity sensitive therefore specialconnections requirements are eliminated.

The WDB8 series is a range of bearingtemperature sensors designed to screwdirectly into an existing grease zerk fittingon a bearing housing. Each sensor is fittedwith a grease nipple to allow lubrication ofthe bearing without the need for removalof the sensor. The WDB Series is availablewith either a PTC thermistor with variousfactory set trip points or an NTC thermistorwith a user adjustable trip point.

ADBThe ADB series have been designed toallow the depth of the sensor to beadjustable depending on your application.Three standard versions are available withprobe lengths of 2, 4 and 8 inches (otherlengths available for special order). Thesensors screw directly into a bearinghousing through the existing grease zerkthread. Each sensor is fitted with a greasezerk to allow lubrication of the bearingwithout the need for removal of the sensor.The ADB style sensors are available with astandard NTC thermistor for 4B’s Hotbusand Watchdog systems, or a 4-wire Pt100 -RTD type for PLC and DCS systems.

The MDB series is a range of bearingsensors manufactured to screw directlyinto a bearing housing through the existing1/4" BSP threaded grease zerk (can beinstalled in 1/8" NPT grease zerk fittingwith an adapter). Each sensor is fitted witha grease zerk to allow lubrication of thebearing without the need for removal ofthe sensor. The sensor is fitted with a M12connector for use with a separately suppliedcable and socket assembly which can beconnected directly to a PLC or to a hazardmonitoring system, such as 4B’s T500Hotbus Elite, Watchdog Elite, or T400 Elite.The connections are not polarity sensitivetherefore special connection requirementsare eliminated.

Touchswitch

The BAP detects moving ferrous material and isdesigned for use with bucket elevators to detectbuckets, for measurement of speed and alignment.It can also detect ferrous bolts where non ferrousbuckets are being used. The sensor is used inconjunction with a PLC or with a Watchdog, T500Elite or A400 Elite control unit.

The WDA sensor detects moving ferrous materialand is designed for use with bucket elevators todetect buckets, for measurement of speed andalignment. It is a non contacting extended rangesensor to detect targets which are up to 100mmfrom the sensor. It can also detect ferrous boltswhere non ferrous buckets are being used. Thesensor is used in conjunction with a PLC or with aWatchdog, T500 Elite or A400 Elite control unit.

The Touchswitch is an electro-mechanicallimitswitch with no moving parts, that detects themisalignment of both pulleys and belts in conveyorsand bucket elevators. The sensor detects the lateralforce of the belt or pulley and activates a voltage freerelay contact. This relay contact can be used toactivate an alarm or shutdown the machine. Thesensors are normally installed in pairs on oppositesides of the belt/pulley.

MISALIGNMENT MONITORSCBS2 CBS2 EliteThe CBS2 is an electro-mechanical system to detectthe misalignment of a belt conveyor. Two outputsare given at 15 and 30 degrees which can be usedas alarm and stop signals respectively. Works inconjunction with a CBS2 Elite control unit. Thesensors are normally installed in pairs, one on eitherside of the belt, and up to 4 sensors per CBS2 Elitecontrol unit.

The CBS2 Elite is the compatible control unitfor CBS2 belt alignment sensors. The unit is ableto provide an alarm and automatic shutdown ofthe conveyor when a belt misalignment conditionis detected.

BulldogThe Bulldog alignment and rip detection switch isan electro-mechanical system designed to detectdangerous belt misalignment and belt tear damage onopen belt conveyors. The switch will detect horizontalmisalignment of belts when contact is made with theroller; the roller arm will be forced to pivot by the beltactivating a switch at 15º to trigger an alarm, and30º to trigger a shut down. The sensors are usuallyinstalled in pairs on opposite sides of the belt. Aflexible wire is set below the running conveyor beltattached by a rare earth magnet at each end. If thebelt is ripped or damaged the wire is pulled awayreleasing the magnet connection which in turn willactivate a switch to trigger an alarm or shut down.

SpeedswitchA solid state unit with nomoving parts, the M800 ismaintenance free. The unitoperates using an inductivesensing device and requiresno contact with the monitoredmachine. The M800 iscalibrated to the machine’snormal RPM. If the shaftspeed falls by 10%, the M800will alarm, and by 20% it willshut the machine down.

The RLI “Shaker” rotary paddleswitch is used to detect high / lowlevels of bulk granular solids inbins, tanks and silos. It can alsobe used to detect plug conditionsin spouts, where long life andfailsafe detection is required.

Utilizing a unique stepper motordrive, the RLI “Shaker” rotatesclockwise, then counter-clockwiseand then shakes to shed anyexcess material build-up. If thepaddle rotation is impeded at anytime by the bulk material then theelectronic circuit provides a signalfor level indication or control.
