Gerhard Bauder and Paul-Hermann Bauder moved to the advisory board at the beginning of 2018. We, the fourth generation, will assume responsibility together with Gerhard Einsele. This will ensure that the auspicious combination of continuity and innovation that makes Bauder what it is today will also continue in the future. The third Bauder generation established an important milestone in the company's history by focusing on the roof. In addition to the flat roof business unit, which includes green roof and photovoltaic systems, they built up the pitched roof business unit. Today we offer a comprehensive range of services as well as all materials for waterproofing, thermal insulation, green roofing and energy generation. Consequently we are giving designers, building owners, constructors and installers the confidence to make the best decision where roofs are concerned. We also offer technical insulation materials made from polyurethane rigid foam for industrial applications.

Flat roofs make high demands on waterproofing and insulation. Flat roofs are increasingly becoming usable areas – with a recreational space and green roof, and as an energy generator with photovoltaic systems. As a European manufacturer of bituminous membranes, synthetic membranes, liquid-applied membranes and rigid polyurethane insulation systems, we offer designers, installers and building owners an unrivalled range of sophisticated solutions. The thermal insulation of roofs plays a vital role in the reduction of CO2 emissions. Bauder's above-rafter insulation systems are particularly well suited for satisfying the resulting increased demands on thermal insulation. From the outset we have opted for high-performance insulation material made from rigid polyurethane foam. A wide range of bituminous membranes for pitched roofs rounds off this range of products.

We therefore offer designers, building owners, constructors, investors, distributors and roofers a particularly comprehensive range of services, including architects’ seminars and certified roofers training, calculations to assist planning, as well as individual support with the creation of specifications. This is provided by more than 230 experienced technical consultants and application engineers across Europe. They are happy to meet you on-site, listen, understand the requirements and provide expert advice face to face.

Bauder has grown continuously and is one of Europe's leading manufacturers and suppliers of modern waterproofing, thermal insulation, green roof and photovoltaic systems for the roof. We want to further expand this position. With seven factories in Germany, one in Austria and subsidiaries in 13 countries, we have a presence throughout Europe. Our international business makes up more than 40% of turnover. More than 1,000 dedicated employees are committed to helping our customers, almost a quarter of which work as qualified consultants on-site.
