“2016년, 국내 네트워크 시장 절반이 SDN” – 오픈플로우 코리아 [비트뉴스]

이번 조사를 실시한 오픈플로우 코리아측은 “내년도 SDN 시장은 전체 네트워크 시장 대비 3.76% 규모로 상대적으로 적지만 초기 시장 규모면에서는 적지 않은 수치이며, 기업의 투자규모는 당초 예상보다는 컸다”며, “국내 상위 50개 기업은 SDN 투자를 계획하고 있으며, 30억 이상의 대규모 투자를 준비하고 있는 곳도 있었다”고 말했다.

• OpenFlow market is predicted to be grown into a 2 Billion-dollar business in 2016, and CAGR is 145.5% for 5 years by 2016.

Earlier this year, IDC forecast that the SDN market could be worth $2.0 Billion by 2016. For 2013, IDC’s May Forecast pegged the SDN market at $168 million. Fast forward to December and IDC is now upping the forecast. IDC is now stating that the SDN market will be worth $360 million in 2013, more than double the forecast from earlier this year. By 2016, IDC now expects the SDN market to grow to $3.7 Billion. "For many of the SDN-related solution providers, some of them still in stealth-mode, 2013 is likely to be a year of reckoning," said Brad Casemore, Research Director for Datacenter Networks, in a statement.
