4th September 2014 - Week 7 Term 3
‘Motupipi’ Tackle 7’s Champions Our Tackle 7’s rugby team took out the Golden Bay Tackle 7’s Championship on Tuesday after beating Takaka Blue in the final 10 -5 in a really hard and tense match. Both teams were determined and focussed on not letting the other gain victory, but we managed to sneak a win with tries to Alex and Joey. With the win we qualified for the Nelson / Tasman regional finals to be held in Richmond on 23 September. The team was Caleb (captain) Oscar, Joey, Cameron, Kegan, Chris, Alex, Riley, Xavier and Tane.
I was nervous at the start then Motupipi kicked so I just thought about rugby. We started blowing over the top and got more ball. It was the first time we had won it in 5 years. Chris
We really lifted out game in the final and got more ball and passed it more. I was happy we won and proud to get into the Regional Finals in Nelson. Kegan

Daffodil Day Gala What an Effort! $1629 Raised What a great day we had on Daffodil Day last Friday with $1,629 being raised for the Cancer Society.
It was all action and excitement from 9.00am as children started preparing their stalls and made items
for sale and this energy carried on through the day.
Just before the worst part of the day ‘Clean Up” we had a game of soccer: Kids V Staff & Parents, with
neither side wishing to concede. Thankfully the staff & parents
came through 2-1 or else we may have still been playing .
I felt happy on Daffodil Day. I went on the obstacle course. I also went buying some things and doing the Bin In Toss and the Dart Throw. I told mum I get to sit on the principals chair. “Cool” she said. Luca
It was exciting in the morning. I was excited because it was Daffodil Day. I went on the obstacle course. I got sprayed in the face by Holley. Daffodil Day is fun. Brody
When I woke up I was excited because it was Daffodil Day. I spent all my coupons on food, I had lots of food to eat. I bought pikelets. They were yummy because of the whipped cream. I bought a sausage because I like sausages. I look forward to Daffodil Day next year. Taylor
