Social Concerns Collection The Social Concerns collection for next weekend (30/31 December) is a

collection for Bethesda Cares. This outreach organization provides finan-

cial assistance and service support to many of the needy in the Rockville/

Bethesda area and we work with them in covering those needs. Thank you

for your continued generosity.

Remembering Those Who Have Died Please keep in your prayers all those who have died, especially Patricia

O’Neill (sister of James Collins) Their family has our community’s heart-

felt sympathy and prayers.

Flowers in the Church Many, many thanks to all those who contributed donations toward the flow-

ers for our Christmas environment. You help to make our space beautiful

with live plants and flowers! The fresh arrangement for the weekend of

December 30/31 has been donated by Isabel Matenje on behalf of her fami-

ly and their thanks to God for His many blessings.

Ministry Installation Weekend Mark your calendars for the weekend of January 20/21 on which we’ll

hold our annual installation of all involved in ministry. This will be

done at each Mass that weekend, so you needn’t worry about which

Mass you attend. There’s nothing you need do to prepare, but if you’re

involved in any type of ministry here at the parish, you will be asked to

stand as part of the group of other ministers present, while the praying

of blessing and installation is prayed.

Poland/Germany - Pilgrimage in September Join us for a pilgrimage to Krakow and a visit to Wadowice, the birth-

place of Saint John Paul II! Other sites will include Jasna Gora, Rynek

Glowny Square, and Auschwitz, followed by some time in Berlin to

visit the Reichstag Building, the Brandenburg Gate, and other local

sites. The trip will take place September 18-27, 2018 and space is lim-

ited. Pick up information in the Commons, or visit the registration web-

site: www.travelillume.com/trc/gwd. Completed registration form and

$800 deposit per person is needed to hold space. Questions? Contact

Kathy Swartz.
