ZONE CROSS COUNTRY NEWS

Mr Sadler and Miss Nguyen accompanied our Cross Country team to the Merrylands/Parramatta Zone Carnival last week. Both reported that our students participated enthusiastically and showed exemplary behaviour. Hana R (8th) and Mesam R (6th) ran brilliantly and will now represent at the Sydney West Regional/Area Carnival on 20th June. Melek A (9th) and Hassan M (9th) have qualified for reserves for their respective events.

PARRAMATTA CUP

RUGBY LEAGUE - BOYS Our Senior (12yrs) and Junior (10yrs) Rugby League teams, supervised by Mr Douglas and Mrs Douglas, played in the Southern section of the Parramatta Cup two weeks ago. They were successful in winning their divisions, undefeated, over 4 and 5 matches respectively. On the 20th June they will face the first placegetters of the Northern section to decide which teams will qualify for the N.S.W All Schools carnival in Term 3. Times and a venue have yet to be decided but the games will probably be played at Guildford Leagues around 4:00-6:00pm.
