I’ve helped a lot of people with

their blogs over the years.

It’s one of my… lesser known

superhero skills.

Anyway, Here’s what I often hear

them say they struggle with:

What do I write about?

How Do I find the time?

How do I attract an audience?

But WHEN I START DIGGING, I FIND THE REAL ROOT OF THEir BLOGGING PROBLEMS.

CONFIDENCE

Blogging can be a terrifying proposition.

It takes real guts to put

yourself out there in the world.

But I’m here to help

Here are 5 action-packed tips to

help you become a more confident

blogger.

Limit the time you work on a post.

None of your blog posts will ever be perfect.

And, besides, there are always

distractions at work

Being an effective blogger means

having the courage to be imperfect.

Set a limit on the time you work on a post.

Then pick a word count and hit “publish” after running spell check.

RE-FRAME THE ASSIGNMENT.

A lot of people feel anxiety

about the word “blogger” like it’s a special designation.

Think of it another way.

Can you write a 500 word essay you’re passionate about once

or twice a month?

If you do that, you can blog.

If you do that, you can blog.

WRITE FOR YOURSELF.

Holy Headache! I am getting a

little tired of this whole idea of writing

for “personas.”

Personas have a place in marketing but who needs that pressure

when you blog?

Your customers want to hear about you and your ideas.

Not what you think they want to hear.

Privacy issues are a real concern,

lois, and I’m going to write about it!

Tell your story.

It’s highly unlikely that you are going to get hate mail

over a blog post.

Of course you’ll have disenters or

hot debates.

But that’s all a part of the fun…

Do you want to get out of here

or what?I just don’t see how blogging

will help us now.

X-ray vision comes in handy when dealing

with Internet trolls.

Blogging really can save the

world, can’t it?

Crime rates have never been

lower since you started blogging,

Batman.

The truth is, Most of your connections online will be positive and supportive.

This is a magical time when anybody can grab this opportunity and publish so your voice has a

place in this world.

Don’t let fear stop

you.
