STRICTLY PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 5 ways to cut no-shows

Reducing no-shows is an easy way to

increase revenue for your business

STRICTLY PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 5 ways to cut no-shows

And there are some simple things you can do to significantly reduce them…

STRICTLY PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL 5 ways to cut no-shows

①  Send reminders to your clients

¤  Send automated text and email reminders, 2-way reminders have the best effect.

¤  We’ve found the best combination of reminders is:

An email reminder 4 days in advance.

A text reminder 2 hours in advance.

¤  Use an email reminder system that lets

clients add the appointment to their own calendar easily.

②  Track & Blacklist

¤  Track your no-shows so you can see who your worst offenders are. Make sure it’s easy to see a full history of attendance by client.

¤  Then don’t let people with a history of

no-shows book the best slots. Or don’t let them book at all without paying in advance.

¤  If you track your no-shows you may be able to spot other patterns. Are they worse at certain times of day or season?

③  Make it easy for clients to reschedule

¤  Give clients an opportunity to reschedule in advance. Some systems let you do this automatically in reminders. Here’s an example from a 10to8 email reminder

¤  If your client booked well in advance

chances are there personal availability could have changed.

¤  Give them plenty of warning about the opportunity to reschedule so it doesn’t have a negative impact on your business.

④  Have a no-show policy

Good systems will do this automatically for you.

¤  Have a clear no-show policy.

¤  Make sure your clients are aware of it before they book.

¤  If they book online, show them the policy before they book.

¤  If you are taking bookings on

the phone, read it out to them.

⑤  Reinforce positive behaviors

¤  Say thank you to your clients for showing up!
