First of all, promote your blog on your website – have a list of the most recent posts on the home page and a link to the blog if it isn’t integrated into your site. If your website is on WorPress then you can integrate your blog within the site itself and put a link to the blog on the main menu. Add to email signature. You can put a link to your blog on your email signature. I use WiseStamp to create my email signatures as they enable you to add a link to your blog post which updates every time you post a new blog. Use social media. Add social media buttons at the end of each blog for people to share, eg via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc. If your blog is on WordPress then you can add plugins that will automatically post your blog out to Twitter and Facebook whenever you publish a post. Reach a wider audience by asking for comments on the blog when you post to social media profiles. Attract subscribers. Encourage people to sign up to read your blog updates via email by putting a sign up form in the sidebar of the blog. Once on your list, you can build a relationship with your blog readers by offering other relevant content and special offers to them. Reuse old content. Many blogs contain evergreen content so share them out to your readers by linking to them in other blog posts, articles, or Ebooks. And if you’ve written a lot of blogs over a period of time then use plugins such as Tweet Old Post to promote previous content to your online contacts.
