• On the 1st floor (Arrival area) of the airport, get on the

limousine bus number 6003 at bus stop 6B or 13A.

02 From SNU Subway Station (Exit 3)

• Green bus number 5511 : Get off at the College of Business

Administration. The LEI is a 3 minute-walk.

/ The 5-Week Summer Korean Language Program is

designed for English-speaking students who wish to learn

the Korean language and experience Korean culture

during the summer. The program provides students with

opportunities to learn contemporary Korean and discover

traditional and modern aspects of Korean culture through

various cultural activities.

/ The Language Education Institute [LEI] of Seoul

National University has a long history of carrying out

prestigious Korean language and culture programs. The

institute has a reputation for managing intensive and

widely-recognized programs such as the Malaysian

Students Program, the Korean Language and Culture

Program for Diplomats, the Keio University Students

Program, and others.

/ The course focuses on developing students’ conversational

skills through student-oriented projects and cultural activities.

/ The 5-week program is scheduled from June 27 to July 29,

and students meet Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00

p.m. The class is divided into three levels : beginning, intermediate

and advanced. Each class consists of about 12 students.

01 Korean Language ClassKorean language classes are offered based on students'

proficiency levels (beginning, intermediate and advanced) and they

feature skills-based and textbook-centered lessons.

02 Cultural ActivitiesThe program provides various hands-on activities that enable

students to experience “dynamic Korea” and the beauty of Korean

traditional and contemporary culture.

03 One-on-one Buddy ProgramEach student will have a buddy, a student of Seoul National

University, who will assist the learner with his/her language study

and the various aspects of campus life during the program.

04 Credit Transfer (3 units)Credits may be transferred to several universities outside of Korea.

Students need to verify in advance with their respective schools

whether credits can be transferred from LEI-SNU to the

corresponding university. A complete Korean language course is

equivalent to 3-credits of a regular academic program. Upon

request and payment of postage, LEI-SNU will issue an official

transcript to the organization designated by the student.

- High school graduate or equivalent qualification

- Students from English-speaking countries

02 Required Application Documents

- Both certificate of graduation and academic transcript from the

most recent school attended

- A statement of purpose (in Korean or English)

- A resume or curriculum vitae (in Korean or English)

- A copy of current passport (information page with a photo)

- Application fee: KRW 50,000 (non-refundable)

03 Application Procedure

- Please visit the LEI website (http://lei.snu.ac.kr) and apply online.

The original copy of required documents should be scanned and

uploaded to the system during online application.
