Dear Parents:

Our Memory Verse this week:“Through the church... the wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers... in heavenly places.” Ephesians 3:10

Today we discovered: The Gospel of the Kingdom includes salvation and more! All the Kingdom mountain climbers had gifts and abilities that God used! God has given us a full backpack

Parent’s Points to Ponder:

Ask Your Child:Who were some of the famous mountain climbers in the Bible? (David, Daniel and Joseph) What were some of thethings in their backpack? (Honor, trust, serving, courage, interpretation of dreams, musician) What are some of the things in your backpack? (Their gifting, abilities, plus godly attributes)

Home Activity:In a family setting, discuss with your child what is in their “spiritual backpack”. This can be a great time of affirmation, recognition and encouragement for who they are, their talents, character traits, and abilities. Help your child write them down and put them in a backpack. After soaking time, hang their backpack in an area where you can open in periodically to discuss ways they can climb the mountains of influence, by being who they are.

Soaking Time:

!

In this lesson, your child saw that they get to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom just as Jesus did. It includes showing the Father’s love and power through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It also involves teaching about the Kingdom by climbing the mountains of influence. How exciting is it when our children are released in their gifting, abilities, and talents, while being in a relationship with their Heavenly Father. They are now able to display and demonstrate God’s Kingdom in their everyday lives... and take the mountains of influence for the Kingdom of Heaven!

In a soaking atmosphere, have your child sit or lay down with their backpack activity sheet. Invite them to “climb” up on Papa’s lap.! Let your Father know how much you love Him! Show Him your backpack activity page! Listen to what He says to you! Tell Him you want to be His mountain climber! Let Him know you want His Kingdom to rule the mountain tops! Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you ! Thank Him for inviting you to complete your Royal Mission! Give Papa, Jesus and the Holy Spirit a big hug!

“KID’S CARRYING THE KINGDOM”5050

Once the “Mountain Range” has been established in your class, it can

become a fixture and a regular “encounter site” with the children

and their Papa God. Each mountain becomes a prayer station where

prophetic drawings, written prayers, newspaper articles and magazine pictures can be posted

and prayed over.

Periodically review the different forms of prayer:

Lightning from Heaven (Prayer targets)*

Praying God’s Heart (Intercession)

Prayer of Agreement (Small groups)

Prayer Declarations (Bible verses are listed under each “Mountain”)

Prophetic Acts (Doing what we see happening in Heaven, dancing, waving flags, etc.)

*Prayer Targets: Post pictures of leaders/Christians who are well-known in movies, music,

sports, etc. Government leaders, elections, local/national issues.

Continue to discuss with your children who they are, what they like to do, and what mountain(s)

appeal to them. (You may want to combine similar interests into small groups). If they show

interest in:

GOVERNMENT: Encourage them to be leaders in their school. In your class let them explain the

“Kingdom Contract” with visitors/class. (Isaiah 9:6-7, Daniel 7:27)

EDUCATION: Have them help you teach, and prepare a lesson. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, John 14:26,

Psalm 32:8)

FAMILY: Invite parents, share family events, traditions. Write notes of encouragement to

families. (Ephesians 5:22, 25, 26; 6:1-2)

ARTS/ENTERTAINMENT: Encourage participation for worship, singing, playing instruments,

and dance. Write and read poetry, stories, etc. and let them share with the class.

(Exodus 35:30-33; Psalm 149:1; I Chronicles 15:22; II Chronicles 2:14)

MEDIA: Encourage writing news articles, information for emailing to parents, be responsible for

current events for missions and other “prayer” boards. (Isaiah 42:12, Psalm 96:3)

11KIDS CARRYING THE KINGDOM VOLUME 4 LESSON 50

“KID’S CARRYING THE KINGDOM”5050BUSINESS: Help with taking the offering, keeping track of roll call,

visitor records, snacks, helping with dividing children into groups,

organizing set-up and clean-up, etc. (Deuteronomy 8:18, Proverbs 10:22)

CHURCH: Help lead in opening prayer, soaking time, prayer ministry, testimony time, and

prophetic acts. (Ephesians 4:11-13; 5:27)

As you continue in establishing the “Mountain Range” in the class you can also:

INVITE LEADERS: Invite leaders to come and share how they represent the Kingdom where

God has placed them. You can invite church pastors/staff, teachers, business people,

athletes, coaches, parents, news reporters, lawyers, judges, and law enforcement. This is a

great opportunity for your children to show honor. Have them bless, pray and prophesy over

their guests.

EVENTS: Have your class sponsor/participate in “Mountain Events” in your church and

community:

Talent Show - to celebrate giftings and abilities

Art Show - Prophetic/non-prophetic: include poems, stories, photography,

paintings, sculpting, drawings, etc.

Girls Fashion Show

Family Day - Picnic, games

Pastor Appreciation Day - They can honor their pastor and other leaders in the church

Let the activities be fun, have them help plan the event. This can become a part of your

Kingdom culture!
